I am making a huge assumption here that I'm am older that you.
I use LV for both my cars, Porsche Cayman S (2009) Fully Comp £165 pa, BMW 116i Sport Fully Comp £162 pa (Excesses only £250 on each)
Regardless of age, I have heard good reports of LV Car Insurance.

I mostly have older "Classics" so am used to cheap insurance (EG £120 for the Turbo Mini, £200 for the TVR S, £250 for the Mondial etc)
But this being a newer semi-normal car its coming out rather expensive as I have no no-claims, not that ive had an incident, but just that I swap about so much.
So far Lockton has come up cheapest at £410, which isnt silly.
(Thank for the tip!)

I am looking at getting a sports car as a weekend and occasion trip to work car. Looked at a Cayman 15 plate and they wanted £10,000 I'm only 22 but my similarly priced a5 is only £650 a year.
Anyone know someone who might be better for the insurance as it would be a deal breaker at that price.
Who have you tried?Anyone know someone who might be better for the insurance as it would be a deal breaker at that price.
... Wish I could have afforded a 2 year old cay man at 22... still cant now at 34...

Haven't you tried the usual suspects - confused.com, moneysupermarket etc? Can't believe you can't get a much better quote unless you have an awful record.
Actually they are usually useless on anything vaguely non-average in my experience, I nearly always get a better price from a "Specialist"Gassing Station | Boxster/Cayman | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
