have a look at my brake caliper.......and all 4 are the same....I only noticed this when I came back today...

Just been down to the OPC who said "this looks like acid damage" and my car cleaners denying using any acid on the car......... funny enough they are the only people who have EVER cleaned the car from new.

any thoughts ?

Ask them what wheel cleaner they use.
i am going to go round there tomorrow when the owner is there....but they are not a cowboy operation, they are always cleaning very expensive motors....and I've used them for years.

oh ....quote from Porsche to replace calipers - £2605...I've a good mind to say that the paintwork is not good enough and sue...esp as the car has only done 2k,

well the valet company have denied using anything on the car that would harm the calipers.....and I can just see them saying "well somebody else must have don't it".....and Porsche are not going to give in.

on a more positive note the person I used to detail my F430 has a Porsche and he says its a common problem......and will repaint them for me.

oh well............what a poor finish though from Porsche,

What colour are you going to go for? What colour is the car? Is it just the front calipers?
well its all 4 calipers , and I am going to have them repainted in Black.....I will post pics up of the finished job when they are done.

I have to say, I have used the car cleaners for years, they clean loads of high end stuff and never have a problem....and never damaged my Ferrari.

But they will never touch my car again and I've told Porsche the quality of their paint finish on the Calipers is st .
