After thirty years of saying I would NEVER own a Porsche...

Picked up my "high mileage" 987.2 2.9 from Ashgood today.

So far my driving experience has been mostly stuck in traffic on the M25 accelerating just to listen to the engine when the odd occasion allowed.

Was quite astonished how much difference PASM makes. Going to need to go out late one night to explore it further..

The head unit (CDR30) is rubbish. That will probably get prioritised ahead of the cruise control now, tried a bluetooth into the aux socket add on, pretty hopeless. Still dithering between Dynavin and Pioneer.

Can see why Porsche offer the "Sport" button, the standard throttle mapping is pretty "conservative". Another one for the list at some point.

Driving it into London tomorrow, planning a mini photo shoot in between work.

Liked the guys at Ashgood. Very friendly and helpful.

From other posts about them I expect them to help out if I get an issue. A good place to buy your first Porsche from.
