I have a 987.2 Cayman S which came with folding carbon buckets from new (same as the Cayman R seats). They are black leather and in nice condition. I am probably selling the Cayman this summer and just contemplating whether I might be better off selling the seats separately and would appreciate others thoughts.

I can get a pair of "ordinary" sports seats on ebay for approx £500 and I understand it is a simple job to swap these over. So..... how much am I likely to get for the buckets and how much impact would this have on the selling price of the car?

My thoughts are the impact on the car's value will be negligible. For reference, it is a 2010 987.2 which is well spec'ed as follows:

Guards Red
3.4S, 6 speed manual
55K miles
PCCB
Sports Chrono
PCM 3.0 with Nav
Carnewal exhaust & manifolds done
Recent clutch with RPM lightweight flywheel.
Full Porsche history, apart from last service done at a well known specialist (cost over £2K) including new rear pads.

I'm guessing the car is worth around £25K with or without the seats?

I know it would be shame to mess around with it like this, but if it nets a bit more cash (!).......

Thanks guys for the input. I guess the ones in Germany at £4,500 is per seat, so £9,000 for the pair? Will there be VAT to go onto this too? I've seen similar prices so £5K for a used pair looks about right.

The huge benefit of the factory buckets over say a pair of Recaro's is that they have side airbags fitted and so keep the factory SRS system in full operation.

If the poster above wants to PM about a possible swap / p/ex deal then I'm happy to discuss, but probably not ready to do it until May / June.

I dropped you an e-mail (via PH) a couple of days ago. If you didn't get it let me know and I'll try again. I'm in no rush and May/June may suit me better.
Just seen and replied, sorry I had missed it.

It's the company TwinFan posted. No that's 4.5K a pair. You can get them cheaper if not heated and older etc. Depends what your after. 8K a pair new from Porsche.
They listed on the site as separate L & R, it's 4581 Euro per seat. The used ones are listed as pairs.

Possibly, they only list new ones on the website.
