I just use a Pure Highway 600 with DAB+ and Bluetooth phone connection for voice and music streaming which connects to FM without any hissing and then the iPhone for directions.
Wouldn’t dream of spending money on the old unit and given the complex’s connections installing a newer unit can cost up to £800.
My solution cost me £40 and works a treat. Worth considering given the breadth of issues it solves.
Yes I know that the sat nav will be rubbish and be out of date. Would be nice if it would display a map though.Wouldn’t dream of spending money on the old unit and given the complex’s connections installing a newer unit can cost up to £800.

How good is the Highway at controlling Spotify?

Just looked at your pic again and wondered if you bought the one from round Birmingham way? I was looking at that one on Autotrader recently and think I recognise the duff pixels on the screen.
The maps are pretty basic when displayed but I understand where you’re coming from. It’s probably more useful for the directions in the dashboard screen than the actual map.
Supposed to be very good for Spotify, even has its own button. I have Apple Music so I just stream from my phone or listen to the DAB. Can’t believe the sound quality considering it’s broadcasting on FM.
One thing that is pretty pointless but nice to know which I found when installing the unit... there are two additional 12v sockets toward the top of the passenger footwell, just under the glove box. That makes a total of six for the car and slight overkill perhaps.
Well spotted. I never noticed the pixels and yes that car is now sat on my drive. The maps are pretty basic when displayed but I understand where you’re coming from. It’s probably more useful for the directions in the dashboard screen than the actual map.

It has PCM 3.0 according to the head unit; can anyone point me in the direction of a disk that will work for the St nav?

Did you bother to look at the first link I posted?
Of Course I have emailed them with info from the display. I don't understand which version i need based on my display and the web site. They have now emailed back. Order placed I have 3 other issues
1. The clock does not seem to keep time; I actually saw it go backwards Is there an easy fix?
2. I can't set the date. Does not seem to give you the option.
3. I have wet carpet on the underside of the Rear NS door card where the puddle lights are. Not fully investigated yet. Are there drains in the doors that get blocked?

I believe the date is controlled by the feed from the Nav so once your disc arrives it should update automatically. The time seems odd though, have you tried the Rennlist forum for that one? There are some knowledgeable people over there for sure.
There are more drains on this car than the LA river system, have a quick look on YouTube for the locations and easiest way to ensure they’re running smoothly. I can’t recall one by the back door though. I presume the door seal is still intact and robust?
You also need to watch for the rear wash getting blocked up and dumping liquid - again good vids on YouTube for that one.
Cheers for the advice. Checked the rear door and no obvious drains. i think it may have a shield inside the door itself. Carpet on the door card seems to be drying out now so I'll keep an eye on it. Seal is in place and in good condition. Footwell is dry Edit After heavy rain yesterday the carpet on the base of the rear NS door car is dripping wet. I'm thinking water is entering the door at the top around the glass and then sitting in the bottom of the door which runs out from the screw holes securing the door card near to the puddle lights under the door. I think I read that there is a shield inside the door to deflect water. BUT where/ how is water meant to drain from inside the door?; can't see any obvious holes for it to escape? There are more drains on this car than the LA river system, have a quick look on YouTube for the locations and easiest way to ensure they’re running smoothly. I've looked at Renlist re clock. Might be a faulty display. Might have to live with that unless the Nav disk sorts it all?
I'll check the rear wash connection; not used it yet.

Can you hear water sloshing about when driving?
Not that I have heard BUT I have looked at the videos and will be having a prod in the sill drains later That said I don't see how the wettness I have can be from one of the main drains as its just the carpeted bottom inner edge of the rear door card that is affected. Must be something within the door I would think?

Trying to sort another issue.
The switches on the drivers door for the petrol flap and the hatch release both do nothing. Checked the wiring behind and fuse 31 and all are in place and look good. Is there a relay for these switches?
Any thoughts? Is it just a coincidence that both are not working or are the faults connected? Switches faulty?

Did you manage to sort the nav/gps?
No; I took the rear spoiler off and cleaned all the contacts on the antenna and the receiver and still no satellites found It could be a loose connection at the headset end but not looked yet.
Yes enjoying the car. I had the air conditioning re-gassed and that has made a difference and changed the power steering fluid as it was a bit notchy at end travel. It seems better now.
Its in at a main dealer next month to have the safety critical recall done on the gear lever park mechanism; Has yours been done?
