If I had the money i would get a base car then shipping it to Carbone in Poland.

https://car-bone.pl/full-car-restoration/

This company are leading the field in both mods/accessories (for which many other companies only end up using anyway, including Singer, but charging you a mark up) and end-to-end restorations.

the cost to ship the car to Poland would be around £1K, which considering their costs/rates are cheaper, you'd soon win that back.

this does not look bad for that price.

Not seen them before Taffy. How much is a typical build ?
I phoned them last year and they quoted me about £100k including the donor car which they supply. The main point is they don't seem to overcharge on 'Porsche Tax' and keep the quality high at the same time. Lovely guy to speak to on the phone with some great down to earth advice.
Just had a look at their website...it doesn’t look like they do any mechanical work ? Can’t see any mention of engine gearbox etc So it reads like they are taking original cars stripping them down and putting new interior/panels/trim on. That’s maybe a simplification but given they will sell all those parts they have stripped off I am not sure about the value.

It’s kind of the reverse of what I’d want from a hot rod...I’d prefer something that looks pretty standard but has upgraded drivetrain and suspension.

That is my old car in the YouTube clip built in 2017 by Retroworks. There’s a post with pics somewhere on here but below is the donor vehicle.

That’s a classic “show and no go” hot rod ! As you say decent price if it’s been done well.Full roll cage on a road car is ludicrous and quite dangerous though !

Looks like it/at least not mentioned in the text - the mileage on the car in the pics was zeroed though (as it is showing double digit mileage).

Confident statement that one:

‘Al the style, fun and function, with investment potential.
The motorists most significant cost, depreciation will be a thing of the past.
Retro Works cars only appreciate.‘

Dont even get me started on this one, they could not even get the correct engine bay stickers sorted for me,gave up in the end.

As for hotrods,if you are a wealthy chap but dont know what you are looking at,employ some one to project manage a build, i have seen some shockers from some of the so called leading companies ,you cant polish a turd!
Singers will no doubt depreciate along with the rest at some point, they have no pedigree to sustain.Don't get me wrong the latest with Williams involvement and a couple of decent test drivers will have no doubt sorted A all ready sorted car into a great machine, but at 1.2m really!

After owning a number of air cooled, 996’s and 997’s, I had an itch that needed scratching. As a semi-retirement present I went for a backdate project at Retroworks. They helped me find the donor vehicle (1988 Carrera Sport) and specced up the car which included: new full interior, colour change, Momo steering wheel, refurbed wheels, electric aircon, long bonnet, over riders, backdate kit and much more.
Took about 4 months to build and I was very pleased with the result, the car was beautiful and for me just too pretty for proper use. I clocked 500 miles in 3 years and kinda fell out of love with this garage queen plus I now realise that I prefer originality so I am now on a quest for another 964.
They purchased it back of me and then I spotted it on YouTube.......£110K 😳 you’re having a laugh!

Mine wouldn't. I saw there car when they were simply called Oshe at the Bicester Sunday Scramble maybe a couple of years ago. Fit and finish wasn't great...maybe things have improved since then. Also the wheels were just way too big/car was too jacked up at the back. Love or hate Singer they have nailed that look of car in terms of wheels/arches/how the car sits. I don't think anyone else does it as well and certainly not the finish.

Sorry if you've already mentioned - was that £110k much more than you paid all in, or is it actually much less? I'm slightly confused. smile

Some lovely cars but excuse my ignorance but is an outlaw car and how does it differ from a restored or restomod car ?
I like the look of some of these but I fear I would end up in a ditch as some early 911's had interesting handling

But the OP's question was: "Who builds the best outlaw 911 in the UK". Singer do not build in the UK and I never claimed that these guys were at that level.
