That's mine now listed for sale with our hosts. I think it's up for a fair price given the market, what's been done and the condition of the car. It's a tired old trope, but I won't be upset if it doesn't go, however given my current life circumstances I feel like a change might be in order.
I’d agree that it looks like a very fair price considering the work that’s been done. I go to Ninemeister for work on my car and some of their commissions for Restomods are just stunning. Yours does remind me of their 9m11. I find it incredible that they have people who plough in 300K + a donor car, drive it briefly and then sell on for 180 before starting again. There are folk who just love the journey and decision making along the way. I would be interested in your wonderful looking car, were it not for the eye watering list of things that my wife has planned for our (already lovely) property next year.
If I was you I’d try and keep it. The value of Restomods doesn’t often seem to reflect the investment and sheer effort that goes into them, so it’s always going to be worth the most to the original creator.

Thanks. I agree that any restored and modified car is worth most to the person who commissioned it. I'm still unsure of letting it go, but life changes and I'm looking for a property abroad. If I let this go it would allow me to get into one without financing. If I don't achieve what I want for it then it won't go and plans will be delayed a year or two. This was always built as a keeper and having owned it 12 years it's not a case of throwing money at an idea then getting bored. We'll see. Values of aircooled seem to bucking the general downward trend recently.

What Mintbird said. The car looks like a hotrod with the rear looking "over tyred".Again, a car that has been built to the exact specification of someone to be sold very shortly after completion.
I do realize that circumstances may change, and sometimes people are more interested in the process than the finished project, but we see this way too often with build like this. So the owner has driven it to the black forrest and back and afterwards he lost interest in it and accumulated less than 1.5k miles in a year and is now selling it?
If I where able to build my perfect dream 911, I wouldn't stop driving it. Me too, I have fallen out of love with cars and lost interest in them, but if you are having your dream car built for two years and are able to specify every single detail to your wish, this certainly is a different story.
Or is someone looking to make a profit? (if this is even possible...)

That's been for sale a long while. They've changed the wheels and removed the graphics since last year.
It sold once when they first had it and as you say they've not changed the look, it's been for sale this time for quite a while. Whoever had it built didn't hang on to it for very long....Given they have retained the original Bilstein shocks with the way the car is set up it won't be a pleasant thing to hussle down a country road. The suspension is set very low.

Am I missing something? Is this the bargain of the century? Sold for 55.5k inc fees after a 25k engine rebuild and 63k back date...

I even like how it looks and on papers looks to be a fun drive.
£60k for a sorted/restored/restomeded aircooled car seems incredibly inexpensive!

I sold a similar age 911, also subject to a £25k engine / gearbox rebuild, drove like a dream, was RHD, untouched body wise and original 2.7 engine (just over £50k)
£60k when it comes to a 50year old car doesn’t buy you much especially when a decent % of that is a colour change and new panels….several of which don’t seem to fit very well. Also there’s something bad going on with the rear wheels…one of them is sitting relatively centrally in the arch and one isn’t.

I wonder how much being LHD impacted it’s value.

About a year ago, didn't use it anywhere near enough. Drove amazing, narrow bodied, really well set up and delightful short shift gearbox (with pedals that lent themselves perfectly to heel & toe).
Sounds like a dream car.I think an air cooled car is the perfect car to have fun at legal speed limits. The modern cars are just too capable.
