Took the car for its final run of 2013, Great fun lots of traction loss as the turbo spools up on the moist roads, all washed polished and put away ready for 2014
Think this was David Mukerji's old car and it was up for £27,500 at the time so probably changed hands for about £26k I would imagine.

Think the body was rebuilt at a massive cost because it hit wet grass then rolled and ended up in a ditch.

Nearly bought it myself but was worried about the cat D stigma it might have.Cars are never the same once rolled!

£65K wow goodluck.

Yeh, really!
I book a non standard 964 turbo with a bit of off road history at £40k at best.
Unless you find someone rich and stupid to sell it to?

Hmm HPI shows different,

The Car will probably be sold into the far East. they have plenty of cash and a desire for classic Porsches

Samantha, here's an older pic of the car for you.

It's from about 4 years ago when the owner at the time brought it along on a 964 run out in North Wales. smile

HPI doesn't mean a thing if the car was rolled and the owner did not go through his insurer to repair the car. I can't see what the problem is with a repaired car if its been done properly. There are a few outfits out there that can repair this older stuff to a higher standard than factory.

I totally agree with you , Either way the car is in excellent condition as you say even better than a factory car , I will enjoy the car in the short term, And if it was Cat D recorded it will be on HPI And cannot be removed, Cat D also means slight damage a car that's been in any high speed roll would be written off A or B and sold for parts

Do you have any photos of the Crash I would so love to see the state of the car if it had a high speed roll,

Love the shot of the car a nice scenic pose, And great angle shot of the extremely rare Turbo S Rear wings , I believe only 9 right hand drive models in existence ?

Looks Fantastic,

Hi charge i often wondered what happened to ultras car,but i see from your profile that you have it.
did it ever come up for general sale-and are you not keeping it.
James was a nice guy and along with a few others really new these cars well and didnt mind parting with his knowledge helped me with mine a few times.

Hi Headlesshorseman. Haven't seen you around for a while?
As Spark s says, Richard Chamberlin was asked by James's family to find a home for the 964 after he passed away. I knew James from a while back, and actually sold him the speedlines on the car now, and also followed the build thread on the car as he did it on Rennlist, which still makes for a fascinating read http://forums.rennlist.com/rennforums/964-turbo-fo...
Anyway, I bumped into Richard at Brands in March when he told me about the car, and having used CTR Developments to build my last engine, and the work they had carried out on James's car, it was a no brainer to buy it. Have to say, after talking to James and reading about the car in wonder I still can't believe I own it some times!
The last two times I have drove it before tucking away for the winter had me thinking about the car, as James had very different requirements of it than me, mainly to go mental fast on a runway! I did want to do the odd track day but have been too busy at work and tied up in a race team at the odd free weekend so it has only been road use, which is no good for this car, or my health. A bootfull off a slip road onto an A road has the rears light up at 65mph and me joining the road sideways, the last drive got me tugged by the old bill for a quick squeeze of power (on low boost) to join the A130 and 'apparently' hit 115mph on a short slip. Started to make me think it was all a bit too much, and maybe I have got old!

Samantha... no disrespect intended. You car looks absolutely lovely! I do hope you get the right money for it.

Yes I have a full file of receipts many from GT1,

So what is a fair price for a Porsche turbo ? ...... I am Really Interested, in understanding what a true price is to sell one ?

I do not se the cars for sale on PH with Sold on them , are they all over priced, ? I did chat a while back with the guy offering a modified turbo S bodied Yellow 964turbo. lightweight , with welded in roll cage at £85k and he had interest, and believe it was sold! again a modified 964 turbo Not Standard, I also have genuine enquiries at £65k

Realistic bargain price for say Samantha's Car With a Full service history, £58k?

You do have a great car I would think less than the Gmund car at £65k but more than £50k.
Good luck with the sale.

Yes I do Agree with you I did offer it for sale a while back at £55K on PH

Now around £65K I have more interest, If I re advertise I may reconsider the price, and offer it for sale in the Spring, However once I sell the car I will not be able to find another one without paying top money

You're better of keeping it and getting it in tip top condition. They're only going to go one way. Better than cash in the bank at the mo.

10,000 miles ago and about 3 years in time scale this car sold for £27K

It took over £30K to rebuild the collapsed roof with GT one.

This is a beautiful looking Frankensteins monster........but

has this particular car now grown in value by almost £40 thousand pounds !!!

You tell me ???

No chance.
Why would it be?
The blue one at £65k hasn't sold, so why would this one be worth the same?

Just can't see it.
