Was that converting the shell from LHD to RHD or choosing a different (RHD) shell?
A different (RHD) shell.

Going up on 22nd, the interior will all be in.

Just waiting on timescales to finalise the low speed mapping.

"Just keep it above 4000rpm in the meantime. I know it means you'll only have a 7000rpm range to work in, sorry." hehe

A little bit of an update for those interested.

The interior is almost done, hopefully next couple of days.

Engine build, dyno, running under load in mule car, finalise mapping, likely mid-end Oct. Fingers crossed.

You can see some of the details starting to come together now.

I decided to partially wrap the Titanium rear cage in leather. The painted shell is 9kg lighter than the gold car as they have developed the carbon panels a bit more. So I am reinvesting in the aesthetics and ambiance. Part of the fun of the project is stretching your own creativity.

The result I think is stunning:

To their credit, Tuthill are still developing some details. The door tops are now in carbon:

And the handbrake and reverse lever look cool:

The tribute items to the Carrera GT:

The dash top doesn’t have air vents, to keep the look clean. Instead the screen is heated, which works very well on Tuthill’s Sweden rally cars:

This being PH, of course there is some deviated stitching. The air vents in the dash are very cool, they open and close by twisting them clockwise and anti clockwise:

Then there are the nice mechanical details.

Titanium arb and arb adjuster, plus trick Motion Control passive dampers with custom valving, and ceramic brakes:

Custom titanium handbrake caliper:

Weight saving by shaving down the bonnet catch smile

Fuel tank, with filler inside the bonnet, and front damper adjuster in background:

Hand painted bonnet crest:

Car Porn, about as apt description as there is.

Did you 'win' the 911K numberplate?

Thanks. I dropped out just below £30k. With VAT and fees it was almost £40k which is mad.

Everything a Singer or some limted edition modern Porsche isn't and all the better for it, lovely personal touches too,

What a thing. Congrats!

Are they any plans for anyone else to review a 911k apart from Harris? I'd love to see a Harry's Garage or Henry Catchpole YT review cloud9

Echo this, completely!

What an awesome thing, even with your garage, I can’t imagine how excited & happy you must be!

Its the greatest Porsche to ever grace this PH in my opinion.
Beyond the classic Miura thread I'd say the best and most impressive car ever discussed on PH.

Yes I believe Henry will review (possibly driving my car) as well as other journalists.

And thanks all for your lovely comments.

This has been a long journey, the car is epic and massive kudos to Richard and the team for creating something so special. It has and is been great to be part of it.

It’s a real piece of art, beautifully done but subtle and classy too. I love it.

Incredible car,
I'm not normally keen on how roll cage's look in a non race car, but the leather wrapped titanium looks amazing. The CGT nod's are also a really nice finishing touch!
