Old aircooled have a lovely understated elegance don’t they? Nice thing about 911K is it is based on the original 911ST.

Collected it today and it is now tucked up in the garage utterly filthy (Tuthill coated the underside in protective coating against the salt).

Just epic. Everything I wanted it to be and more. I like a loud car, and this is indeed loud! smile I might reconsider my decision not to have some sound absorbent material behind the rear bulkhead. But it came with a pair of rally headsets which was a lovely touch.

I was too excited to take many photos, there are so many details so I really need to clean it and spend a few hours with a macro lens. In the meantime here are some for those who are interested…

lovely, have fun with it while its dry and not to cold temps.

btw how does such gearstick combo shifts? is it precise/short?(although a long stick) and not sloppy like some old cars have? I guess not modern porsche 911 click clack short, but just wondering, as I see more builds with such sort gearstick box, I forgot how it was when I had my old 1976 Carrera 3.0 long time ago with its standard setup and rubber sock or how you call that.

So I have no idea :-) is it precise nice shift or ?

What a lovely thing! I hope it gives you as much pleasure to own as it clearly has to build.

(I also hope you never catch your knuckle on that speaker grille as you wind down the window…it looks awfully close.)

The colour scheme is just about perfect, enjoy every mile in it. If you get bored of it or think it may be slightly under used over the winter or just need someone to take it out once a week to keep the battery topped up, I am available at very short notice.

Love the carbon / kevlar? airbox... Nice to nod to the stuff used 30 - 40 years ago in Grp B and C.

About as desirable as it’s possible for a car to be.

Fabulous in every way.

Interesting new material... Not heard of it before. It's cool that it matches the old school C/K composite aesthetically though.
