Which Porsche would you modify/hot rod and why?

Not that I wanted to modify or hot rod a cabrio 911 (I'm more a coupe man), but came across this one in a add.
looks like a bog standard 911 cabrio, a very boring one, you would not expect what engine is in this car.
forgot how such car is called, like a wolf in sheep cloths.
interior also boring, although it has a manual, thats a plus for a 2006 car.
standard around 350ps, this one has almost double that power, it has 9ff tuning and a GT2 RS engine tuned from 620ps to 680ps...

they look indeed standard, must be a blast that car and fun at the stoplights, thinking, ok a porsche 350ps is not slow, but with my tuned car I can beat it, or when you drive on the highway and seeing a fast car coming up on the other lane, just slowly ad some speed till its next to you and they think, its just a old 3.6 cabrio and then floor it :-) Wonder if it's running 350ps disks and pads...
If I won the lotto
911 993 turbo.
Cut off the rear wings and fit the the nb items, junk the front seats and install some lightweights. Have the motor rebuilt/remapped, totally new suspension and I’m done...... I’d keep the aircon though.
Fill the tank and head for the hills and spend the rest of my days driving the greatest roads in the world and staying in 5star hotels each night (where they are available) and dusty old world ones when not.
I’ll leave it to you wealthy lads to spend the £££s on the Singers et al. I’ll spend mine £s on fuel

You forgot to junk the propshaft to the front wheels.911 993 turbo.

I'd find some way to lose the rear wing as well - stick the intercooler on the bonnet or passenger seat. Hideous thing that turbo rear wing.

Early 924 (single mirror, vw golf filler cap, rubber gear gaiter, chrome badges, no hatch spoiler) in Reseda green, with tartan interior
Fitted with complete mechanicals and suspension from a 944 turbo. Bit of a compromise on the wheels as I wouldn't want the arches to be altered but would still be fun

I have done a few (and regretted selling them!
Last one was a 993 c4 that was made into a 993 rs homage (if that’s the right word)
Now doing a 1968 SWB 912 with a fully rebuilt 2.2 engine and box in the back of it.
Not sure I will keep it because as much as I love it I really want a 964 or my old 993 back.

Night and day ! Even in my 912 / 911 with new shocks, springs, all bushes etc etc.
Your comparing 1968 to 1997, the 912 is fab for a trip to good wood do Sunday blast / some track work but the 964 / 993 are more blunt but can be used everyday.

Not SWB, LWB but in comparison to a 993 it's night and day from my experience of both. I had a 993 targa and it felt a bit lumbering and GT like. You had to work hard to have fun, you had to work it, cajole it, force it rather than play with it. My 69T (pictured up the page) is like a ballet dancer in comparison. Lovely and light, just demands to dance into, through and out of a corner. Not all that fast (although with new motor will be much better). But so light and so keen to have a bit of fun. If the 993 is a sulky teenager, the 69T is Audrey Hepburn
