3.0 911 SC Project - Value?
Discussion
Yes everything has a value, but to be honest with this I have no idea that would be. Wouldn't even know where to start and that picture doesn't do it any favours.
Still wouldn't mind knowing what you paid for it.
I am guessing that if body work is all genuine Porsche parts, then the guy that stared it spent a lot of money, but he must have had an idea that he was never going to get it back.

If the engine and gearbox are ok you would probably get up to 5k just for them! I think breaking it could net you nearly 10k but it would take a fair bit of time and effort to sell every part.
Then you'd be left with a Targa shell and if that's solid there's another 1-2k

If you didn't need the money for other things and soon, I'd suggest not breaking it but removing as much as you can that was wrong (not original) and then, over time, pickig up the original bits used or new and returning it to it's former glory. That way you wouldn't be killing of an older 911 which is just criminal in my eyes, nor would you be creating a Frankenstein, just my opinion.
Although this thread is months old, I thought I would run a quick update.
I took delivery of the Porsche and gave it a wipe over; which did make a notable improvement to its appearance. I then listed it on eBay as a non-runner and it sold for £6,750 within 24 hours. It went to a foreign guy down near London who always seems to have classic Porsches on ebay.
Project vehicles are by far the easiest to sell and not bad considering I paid a whisker over £3k.
