Air Cooled Engine Oil?
Discussion
What is the best engine oil for an air cooled engine?
My turbo is in for a service at the moment, Over on Rennlist they seem to reccomend Mobil V-Twin synthetic, but, I can't seem to find it in the UK!?
It seems that, where i don't do a lot of miles, it is best to use an oil with a rust inhibiter in it?

Depends on the age of the engine. If it's an earlier one you need an oil with a high ZDDP content. Most modern oils, including synthetics, don't have this as it's bad for pandas. That's not to say you can't get it though.
I use a good quality mineral oil for classic cars with high ZDDP and 20W/50 in the summer, 10-15W/50 in the winter. 10W/40 is too thin for most air-cooled engines and won't be protecting as well as it should.
