Hi All,

Any advice on which drainage channels, pipes etc to check on a 1982 911 coupe?

Damp smell and the car has been garaged 'most' of the time I'm told.

Cheers

Exactly what you thought, good advice

Rear seats were soaked, wet roof lining and condensation on the back window.

No idea how to see the drainage channel. Took a few minutes to find the sunroof switch and once found it went back fine but didn't allow much room to see anything.

There is a dial behind the handbrake which goes from 0-9 then DEF. No idea what that is.

Thanks guys
Sorry for late reply Wozy

Removed everything carpet and seat related, drying out.
Cant see any drainage pipes, just a hole as pictured on the link you posted from another guys 3.2.

Re condensation in 993 but no damp carpets - wouldn't worry too much as most cars will do this in the winter and its likely just moisture in the air. Vent pipes / air-con worth checking though. I had an old VW that steamed up due to cracked heater matrix but then you should have a damp footwell

So the car has gone to the garage. On the SC and 3.2 there don't appear to be drainage pipes as on the 993 described by Wozy, it's just a hole either side of the engine bay for water to run through. I haven't tried testing pouring water over the sunroof yet, but hoping the garage will.

There is now water in the boot also. Passenger side wing has been replaced so possibly it's related to this? maybe a seal? Also condensation in the same side head light. Hmmmmm
