Will the Scuderia become a true classic icon?

It has potential but not before CS IMHO even though its a better car like the 458 speciale is to scud.
The only reason I bailed out of mine was, I was afraid to put too many miles on it to preserve its value which really does defeat the object for me.
I don't see cars as investments rather as big boy toys ( which you obviously don't want to lose your shirt on )
I also see the 458 Speciale being the same long term so scuderia will be sandwiched in the middle and possibly the best of both worlds ?
That said I hope to pick up a low mile Speciale in 2/3 years time if the price is right, cmon down

Yeah yeah, heard it all before, getting really boring now. What you should of seen was the discount I was offered on a 458 spider - it was insane, nearly twice that on the Mac and it still wasn't tempting enough.As I wanted a keeper it had nothing to do with price I just went with the better overall more expensive car IMHO

Personally i believe It's not as iconic as the CS & is outclassed by the Speciale (last NA V8 for who knows how long from Ferrari).
I think values will increase on the coat-tails of the other V8 LE's / hardcore models to come (16M exlcuded from this) but it's the middle child and unless it's going as part of a collection for a box ticking excercise i wouldn't imagine many owners would pick the keys over a CS / Speciale. I know i wouldn't.

Your comments do show it has it's place between two cars, but the question is will it become a classic icon?
I guess over time any low volume special model car has the potential to become one unless it's a complete Lemon (which without stating the obvious it isn't). Preference over a CS or Speciale is purely subjective, I hunted for many months for a CS, drove loads and loved it just missing the boat on a few occasions. Started to look at the Scud and pulled the pin - now glad I went the Scud route and blown away by the car.
In 20 / 30 years post release of a model I would say (unless a Lemon is made) each of these low run cars would have their place in the hall of fame and for their own merits. If Ferrari continue to make these epic specials that's the way it should be...
Have to say though I've seen and sat in a few Speciale's now (yet to tick the driven box) and they do look absolutely stunning. In my eyes the styling inside and out is spot on - whoever has one on here, lucky boys indeed, enjoy
