Went to Dick Lovett today and bought their brown/tan 488 spider (the 328 next to it is ours). Probably not to everyones taste, but we loved the colour. I know it doesn't have the LED steering wheel, no bother to me, nor front lift, but I have read the comments on this forum on the need or not of such, coupled with the fact that I have managed with a Countach for many years without bother so I decided on not worrying about that. The seats were very comfortable, a must as we tend to use the cars and as age is creeping up on me I felt that having comfort seats now was a must. Other than that, I will share more photos when we collect..... Dick Lovett were a pleasure to deal, thank you Michael.

Decided the best way to get the wife on board was for her to test drive it. It worked!

70th anniversary spec, I see. One of a kind. Well done on nabbing it!

Thank you. It’s a 70th Anniversary one of one spider. They did the colour across their then current range and to make this one unique they did the interior with tartan.

Thank you. Wonder if the first or second owner are on piston heads and could share some photos / experience?

Actually, I think it’s a lot more special than that. IIRC, Ferrari made 70 cars across the range of 488/Cali T/Lusso and F12 to celebrate the company’s 70th anniversary. The 70 cars were all unique in specification and a showcase for what could be achieved with Tailor Made. Each of the unique specs paid homage to the original spec of the car on the dedication plaque. The fact that yours is dedicated to a vehicle from 1971 explains the plaid seat inserts laugh You should try to track down photos of the original.

The 488 colour when shine on by that rare big yellow thing in the sky looks very familiar. I’m hoping in the history file there will be some photos etc which I’ll check when I collect.

That’s just awesome. And the 488’s depth of colour looks amazing in the dealer photos.

Brown seems to work well on mid-engined Ferraris.

Not something I knew before.

Sometimes things can be so utterly horrible that they are actually cool and this is one of those times biggrin
