Paid £700 inc vat with JCT in October 15 and paid £1280 inc vat in October 14 for the 18500 service ... Ask for Craig at service always seems to want a deal
Thanks j3gme - This is really helpful and sounds competitive, I'll call them Monday.

Many thanks again

Thanks for that Nano2nd, I'll call JCT tomorrow..... I haven't been thrilled so far with Notts either - Long story but I was less than happy with some elements of my F430 following delivery, things that should have been picked up and corrected pre-delivery. The only thing in their favour was that they did put everything right once pushed.

It's not just me then..... I was already reluctant to go back but they replaced my manifolds only 400 miles ago. Since I've noticed that the tailpipe now seems to rattle as if it has dropped, lift it slightly and the rattle disappears. It's been suggested to me that it sounds like a bracket - I was going to insist that G.P. Notts replaced it as they were the last ones to work in this area only a short time ago, of course if I don't go back I'll have to pay for the repair myself.... Has anyone had an exhaust bracket replaced and if so, what was the cost?

I use JCT and have found them very good. Not much more than independent pricing and you can swing a deal for more expensive services. I once had annual plus MOT plus major mileage @ 42750 plus cambelts all done for about 2800. They gave me a BMW to use for a week too :-)

I had a tailpipe bracket replaced by Graypaul Notts in November 2013. It cost £214.10

I've always been happy with their work and pricing. After much shopping around they were the most competitive when doing the CCM brake upgrade on my F430.

I have just had the 31250 mile major service done at a main dealer - £2300. There was one slightly cheaper quote and one more expensive quote.

Thanks to all for your comments (particularly Chris, j3gme), they've all been really helpful, got a cracking deal at JCT600 Leeds and have gone with them.

Many thanks again to everybody for all your input.

Sounds quite steep unless both rear disks are being changed. Which they should be.

FYI Genuine Brembo discs (they are the OEM) are available for around £65 per disc. To fit a rear pair would take 1 hour max.

It wont be anyone fault that the exhaust bracket has broken, again it's another known problem. The brackets do crack and eventually fail, this can cause as in my case cause savere vibration on tickover, it caused my rear light to vibrate so much I thought it was going to fall off.

Can't remember the exact cost to have it replaced, but I think it was about £180.00.

Sorry should have said they are steel discs and both rear discs advised need replacing ,car only has 13k miles. yes I have seen the price they sell for on web buying direct seems very good but garages put on large mark up,phoned around for some quotes range from £650 pads & discs (indy ) to £1435 pads& discs main dealer.

£1435 is very expensive. £6-£700 would be more like it, though still pricey, inclusive of labour and vat. Be aware there are several specialists currently low-balling brake jobs on 360's and 430's and fitting Peugeot pads which don't seem to be the perfect choice, strangely!

As far as servicing is concerned, whoever you choose, make sure you know what you get for your money. The service schedules are open to massive interpretation and some main dealers do virtually nothing During the service, some of the brake fluid and gear oil I've scraped out of full dealer history cars has been appalling...

May be a bit late in the day now but I found Stratstone Wilmslow were fantastic on price and service when servicing my F430 last month, they gave it a health check and it had some suggested advisories on front ball joints, rear tie rods and front track rods, upper ball joints needed doing, the rest were slight play check next service, I've done it all myself, so much help out there it really is easy if you're that way inclined, so maybe worth considering DIY on rear brake discs and pads, Eurospares are the most competitive for me so far!!

Anyone have an opinion on Indy vs "Ferrari" service history? Does not having a main dealer service effect the valuation?

There really is no straight answer here, my car has had all (9) but 2 main dealer services, I purchased from an indy (never again!!) hence the indy service but only wanted main dealer myself and they happily price matched, I even opted for a major service just to be sure all was done, I'm now back in the main dealer annual schedule and very happy for it.
Some people love their local indy, some, like me, want to see main dealer stamps and invoices, a file full biggrin

This thread is about 430 which are not expected to be FFSH however with the newer cars this is less of a given especially in view of the post-2011 free servicing deal
