I agree, Portofino is probably a better car. I think that from the rear it's a better looking car too. M will probably be a bit too pricey though.
Need to decide on whether to sell i8 or keep too.

Hi Sir,
Not sure if you are still looking for a portofino.
I have a Dec 2020 car in Electro blue with black leather & grey piping, 9k miles, it is currently with my local Ferrari dealer, I can send your their details and you can have a look at it.
My email is david978bell@btinternet.com
If you would like some more information.
Good luck either way! 👍
Ps, I should add I am also an ex I8 spider owner lol..
Weirdly tempted to get a portofino for my next car - my 911 targa gts is an amazing car but not good on the motorway with the top down - too noisy. Cali T you could roll a fag and chat to your passenger at 90mph.
Anything over 50 in a targa and you can’t hear yourself think . .
OP - any update??

In my mind - cruising around in the summer with the top down without a care in the world.
The reality - it’s in the garage during a wet summer only to be taken out to sit in traffic whilst being stared at by kids in souped up rust buckets; then arriving at the supermarket to find all the cars are so tightly packed I end up just driving home . .
Still fancy one though . .

Portofino prices are really dropping - are we going t see them around 110k for a cheapie in December ? I think so
I think it’s possible for higher mileage private cars or keen indy dealers. I’ve just bought a pristine, low-miles Portofino from a main dealer, with just about every carbon option ticked, and paid at least £20k less than similar cars were advertised when I started idly dreaming a year or so ago. Sure it’ll depreciate, but my GT3 was also depreciating, and in the meantime I’ll be driving around in a Ferrari (in rain, gales, ice etc)! The man maths is strong… My mate is after one, the Porto is now looking easily the better buy than the Cali on prices alone.
No way it’s going to be a private high mile leggy one in the £110ks come winter-it’s Ferrari main dealers that are driving the price down.
With Roma Spyders still yet to come online I can see a Porto being a fairly shrewd buy at these prices in as much as any high end car can be at the moment.

I observed on the Porsche forum that there’s a world of difference between the dealer groups. The Sytner dealers (Graypaul, Maranello, etc) are very keen on pricing, but others seem to be 3 months behind at least. Of course the same split isn’t true for trade in prices; they’re very consistent (ie low!), but dealers like the Porsche Retail Group then mark their cars up 10-15% more than the groups who know they need to keep stock moving.
Here’s my Portofino from Maranello. A lovely car, and Maranello were brilliant to deal with. They’ve had a lot of well priced Roma coupes in the group too, but my son didn’t fit in the back as well as in the Porto. It’s funny: I was dead set on a 488 originally, but since I bought the Portofino, every drive has been with both my kids who can’t get over the novelty of a sports car with back seats and the roof down! I’ve been too busy driving it to take photos in the wild, as you can see.
I think this will be a lot of fun until my kids get too big, then I’ll go back to a selfish two seater

That is stunning, there's something timeless about a Ferrari in a subtle colour scheme and it seem quite rare finding a Porto with a two tone colour scheme on the roof.
My mate was dead set on a Cali T, I test drove one up north for him but I was very disappointed-the scuttle shake was atrocious and it just didn't seem well put together.
Then we went for lunch at The Shard and when we came out a Portofino was sat outside-to be honest we both thought it was an F12 until we looked in and saw the rear seats. I was sold from that moment on, where the Cali has some awkward angles the Porto just looked terrific.

Got round to driving a Cali T at last this week. Rare sunny afternoon day before Ciaran hit. It was a superbly civilised drive. Comfy enough with the magic bumpy button pressed, quick enough, turbo V8 ain’t no V12 or even NA V8, but it’s good enough.
In short, she rides well, comfy, quick, civilised. And retains the delicacy and more sculpted style of the Cali as opposed to the fatter, more “aggressive” face of the Porto.
It’s an absolute fine car.

Anyone wanting a portofino- have a look at the blue one in romans - it’s a good deal - loads of carbon - I don’t think I’m going to go for it hence telling others ! Bonnie that works there is good to deal with. It’s a one owner car - lovely in the flesh - slight sparkle to the paint .
