I’d be asking why H.R. Owen aren’t selling that as an approved used Ferrari through their main dealerm333m444 said:
can we not remove the CEL just before going to service and put back the exhaust?
Quite a massive job to undertake every year for sake of an exhaust. Also a 458 sounds sublime on the stock system, if you want more pulls the valves or fit a controller, really does sound epic.
I think at most with warranty all you can get away with is just the catback section of the exhaust, mess with the cats or manifolds you will throw a CEL and Ferrari will no doubt know if they really wish to do so.
If I was you I'd focus on finding and buying a car first, enjoy the car for what it is and then maybe consider making some changes once you have got one and had a few months seat time.
Having owned a 458 for five years I never once wished for more noise or performance from it, absolutely awesome car and lives upto the hype.
well, I respect everyone's taste but this car needs and exhaust system.
this is what I want

How about the fact that I will have novitec exhaust + decat pipea and probably headers. Warranty wise what do you think?
There are ways around these problems. OBD error blockers for example. Also CEL error should not cause a warranty issue in the sense they need to prove you’ve done it. Normally exhaust upgrades are plug n play. So you can return to standard..m333m444 said:
I am going to view this one tomorrow, any thoughts. Seems a bit overpriced as it does not have many options?
Btw we are certain that ferranti warranty is pretty much useless?

I saw that last Friday. Has a very jerky downshift. May need new gearbox possibly. Price wise it is near market for an auth dealer.Btw we are certain that ferranti warranty is pretty much useless?

The car’s disappeared from sale, so assume it’s sold. If so, must have been priced competitively!
I got the car, it had new front tyres, relatively new back tyres and XPEL PPF on front end which saved me from 2k straight away cost. They made some discount on the price, 3 years gap insurance, gtechnic package etc. Interior was really clean as compared to the other cars I viewed. Overall it seemed alot better than the cars I viewed/enquired. It did not feel jerky on downshifts, maybe because I am so get used to it from BMW M4 DCT? In the worst case scenario even if it requires a new gearbox it is under warranty and seems like it is covered.
I also got confirmation from the sales manager in the event of something not covered by warranty like gearbox oil leak etc, they will cover or definetly show some goodwill towards the cost.

I don’t think the full Novitec system incl decat has TÜV / is road legal in Europe (I would assume that applies to the UK as well)
I'll start with novitec backbox and add the rest later. I will keep the original cats for the moment. Gassing Station | Ferrari V8 | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
