Would you buy a 30k mile 430?

Only talking about a 458 but as the 430 is the 1st from Maranello that's reliable in general, I'd say don't worry. If it's properly serviced, go for it.
Also, from a mechanics POV it's better to have an engine running then letting it rot in a barn.
Of course you'll have higher depreciation, but the fun DRIVING these machines is worth SO much more. Been to the Dolomites/Alps/Tuscany for the last 3 years with my 458 doing between 4,500 and 5,500 km per tour of 6-7 days, always returned with a big grin carved into my face so that the missus wondered what the hell me and my friends in their other cars had been up to...

Car's at ca. 46,000 km after 3 1/2 yrs of ownership, still all's well.

Okay, I have several points to make reading this thread, I'd agree that clocking is rife with most marques, it's not the preserve of lease cars.
I've just climbed on to the F430 Ferrari ladder and like many other Ferrari owners my second cars it not a Bugatti and I don't have a 9 bedroomed house, so I have battled with the double edged sword of mileage/enjoyment vs depreciation, having done only 1k with little more going on before March next year when it will be our 1 year anniversary! I'd say Im losing the enjoyment batted according to this feed.
I'd also say 30k miles on an F430 is not high? if the market see's it as high(ish) surely the reflected price shouldn't drop by much, 2k to 5k absolute max?
It's to late for this year but how do I go about going on a Euro trip with other Ferrari and Supercar owners, it's a box I really must tick

I'm just back from a 3.2k jaunt across Europe and aside from the number plates falling off in 42 degree heat, and the rear diffuser screws coming loose (recent service - has me wondering), it ran like a dream. The F430 is acomplished enough in reliability terms to be treated like a 'normal' car.
It had covered 27k when I bought it last Aug, and is now on 34k. Will no doubt be on 40 something this time next year.

My Ferrari is quite old but I found that once I got it and started racking up the miles it ran a lot better and just goes nicely. I only average 5-7,000 miles a year because it is at the bottom of the food chain of 4 cars but I just don't understand the mileage worries. With My Aero I put almost 80,000 miles on it from new 60,000 in first 2 years, the rest over the next 4 as I acquired some other cars and still got 60% of my purchase price back on it at 6.5 years old. I would possibly have got more but textured matt black paint and all yellow leather interior and wheels restricts the buyers a little :-)
I have one very rare car that I have just bought, one of only 11 made that I will probably use sparingly, perhaps 2,000 per year of weekend drives and maybe another 1,500-2,000 on Road trips but I have unlimited mileage insurance on it in case it becomes my favourite.
