Ferrari 308 - OIL

Just wondering what other 308 owners use for engine oil in their cars?

At the minute I'm using fully synthetic as used by the previous owner, but I dont think it likes it too well. I spoke to someone the other day who recommended maybe using a semi-synthetic or mineral. I've just been looking on the superperformance website and noticed they have 3 different options listed: http://www.superformance.co.uk/308/oil.html

I'm going to do the oil change on the car soon, so what do you reckon.

Car is a 1982 308 GTBi if it makes any difference?

Its 10w 60 synthetic that I'm using. Just seems to burn it if travelling at high speed for a while and it gets hot. Thinking its maybe a bit thin.

The engine was refurbished recently, and the rest of the time it does well, but continuous high speed through France seemed to cause it to burn some. The rest of the time its fine.

Thanks for that, yes my engine was running at highish revs as I was in convoy with a Bugatti Supersport WRE, and the oil was quite hot and lost a bit of pressure. Also thinking it may have got a bit too thin for the seals.

It had never been a problem with burning oil before, and hasn't been since, but tonking it through France at high speed caused it to use a fair bit!

Probably going to do an oil and filter change myself. How much oil does it take in a 308?
