thinking of fitting these headers but have been warned that they can sometimes trigger the EML and there is no cure - replacing the lambda sensors doesnt reliably get rid of the issue.

So has anyone here fitted the Capristo system and then had to take it off again?

But reading between the lines, the issue of the EML coming on when using capristo headers is a real one and not just the dealer trying to put me off.

I dont have a header problem but as far as I can gather, its only a matter of time on a 430. Then the options are Capristo or similar or Ferrari replace systems. The Capristo risks the EML issue. The Ferrari replace are guaranteed for all of a year which is useless. So what to do?

I have had capristo manifolds fitted for a year now and have had no issues at all.
Except for greater petrol consumption due to going faster to her that glorious exhaust note lol
The greater fuel consumption could be the result of the changed exhaust / cat temperature feeding back to the ECU. Thats part of the engine management light problem.

I'm trying to find a way of tackling the issue which doesnt void the Ferrari warranty FWTW, and also doesnt involve regular exhaust manifold replacement.

Its far from certain that if the manifolds do fail during the guarantee period, which is only 12 months, that Ferrari would pick up the bill for a lunched engine. Outside the 12 months I would be surprised if they would.
