I'm looking to buy a Ferrari 360 and found one that is ideal, but comes with the standard exhaust.

To be honest, I haven't heard the standard exhaust in person, but was hoping for something with a decent amount of volume (without being obnoxiously loud)

I realise that i could just fit something like a tubi or capristo after purchasing, but to be honest I don't want to spent £5k straight after purchasing as this will eat too much into the slush fund. My understanding is this is what I am looking at to fit one of these from new?

It appears that it is quite a simple job to make the exhaust valves open permanently. Would this make the sound comparable with a sports exhaust?

Everywhere i read it says that it is a 5 minute job, but I can't see anything on youtube and all forum threads that i can see about the subject are many years old and all links and images etc no longer work any more.

Does anyone have a good link showing exactly how this can be done, confirm whether it is worth it and whether it is likely to cause any issues?

Thanks all for the advice. I think I wouldn't hesitate in the future given the advice above.

I put in what I thought was a very strong offer, but sadly it seems I was pipped to the post by someone else, as they had took a deposit from someone else before I could increase my offer. Shame as the car had been with them for almost 9 months!

Still on the look out for a red 360 Modena. High miles don't bother me too much.

Just out of interest, why a 360 and not an F430? Or even a 355...
Both out of budget unfortunately.

I have a max budget of around £55k.
