Monetary value differences aside, I wouldn't swap my (LHD) CS for a Scud or 16m, no chance, LHD or RHD. For a Speciale, probably, but only because its the current 'new best thing'. In 10-15 years time I think the CS will have so much clear daylight between it and all of the above value wise that even the LHDs will be worth more.
LOL I thought you said "Monetary value differences aside"???????roygarth said:

The CS is not the quickest and not the most capable but its the original and best (sounding) of the light weight variants (aside from his highness the F40 of course!)......
I agree. I've been through the same 'should I swap for newer' thought process, but I know I'd regret it. Absolute speed is not everything and the looks of the CS are to die for...nigelonich said:
I hadn't had a look at the CS classifieds for a while but I guess they have broken through £200k now? Have any sold for more yet? That means 16m, scud, strad and 458 spec are all 'about' the same value now for 10k mile-ish cars. NUTS!
I never thought a Stradale would fetch more than an equivalent 16M but it didn't take long to overtake the Scuderia so I guess its going to pass the 16M soon if not already.
Would I straight swap my nero daytona, 15k mile, one owner Stradale for a 16M and would the 16M owner take that swap? Thats a really tough one and would either of us swap for a 458 spec?
Regarding Porsche I follow the 997 GT3 market and its reached a new high this afternoon with a mexico blue RHD 4.0RS at £375k which is around £100k premium on a non standard black or white model really.

To answer your question about a CS/16M swap, would I swap my 1 owner bianco fuji 16M? No!I never thought a Stradale would fetch more than an equivalent 16M but it didn't take long to overtake the Scuderia so I guess its going to pass the 16M soon if not already.

Great that both cars have their following. I'd like a CS at some point but will probably buy LHD as the euro slides
Definately personally rate the 458S below these cars. It is too quiet and to me at least really doesn't feel all that special compared to the base car. My 991 GT3 is more fun to drive.

Good point on the Euro but I'd move quickly as arbitrage opportunites don't always stick around that long - there will still be plenty of non EUR buyers chasing the now cheaper cars meaning the price in EUR will also nudge up

With less rare F40's at £800k, I'd say that's a snip!
CS is no F40!!!"I'll be honest the Stradale has as they say more soul, no other car is as raw, as loud and a pleasure to drive. I don't like saying it but I have nearly all of them and that is my choice."

After reading that they looking like a real bargain at 25% cost of F40!reedman said:
That car sold last year for 129K I think.
You're correct it was advertised at ~£129k when it came to the UK last summer. Prior to coming to the UK it had been advertised by a Ferrari dealership in Munich Saggio Gmbh IIRC - their asking price was €129,000. What difference a year makes!I've been told SCoM are asking £175,000 - seems a bit optimistic for LHD ?
