328 GTS Grand Tour to the homeland

I am planning a drive through northern Italy in the 3rd week of June, with my 1988 328 GTS. I have not done a long trip in it as yet, and this will be the first. The idea is to take the car on some mountain passes, Stelvio etc, and of course visit Maranello.
Does anyone have some tips in terms of car preparation please which I may not have thought of? Has anyone done something similar and have any advice (either for the car or the trip actually)?

PS. If any other PH'er is planning a similar trip the same time, would be happy to hook up on tour as well.
