Famoussas, thanks for coming up today with your car.... Lovely car.... Colour is really nice, proper lambo colour, lairy.. A true collectors car is a lairy colour lambo..... And the pearlescent effect in sunlight... Obviously Verdi Ithaca as good! Wouldn't want a red lambo, sorry grbf430

My neighbour has a 13 plate Performante in Red.

i cannot remember a marque where a colour looked so good on one model ( red countach ! ) but then looks so, well, "odd", on any later model

I said I would never buy a red lambo with black wheels before I saw it, especially being a Ferrari man, but I was amazed how good it looked in the flesh. Its a rare colour for a Lambo but in Performante spec it really works well with the black roof and carbon details. If it had been a 560-4 coupe I would agree with you that it wouldn't work

Everyone that has seen the car has said they have never seen a red one and wow they really like it and think it suits the car ????

My favourite Lambo colours have always been the lairy orange, yellow and greens UNTIL now. When I bought there were white, orange and black ones around and having seen them all in the flesh the red really did stand out
I think its easier to live with and just as striking but you have to see the actual car physically to appreciate it. No photo I've seen or even taken captures the vibrant colour correctly or do it justice.

Colour is subjective but more so than that different cars and even different derivatives of models of a particular car can look completely different. If it didn't look so right and good I could of bought the orange one for £15k less but I didn't because I thought the colour in itself was worth the premium.

It also helps the car stand out as a Edizione Tecnica and is not a colour available on the rest of the range. More than happy to be 1 of the 4 UK cars

Where do I look for some proper pics of your car, don't think I've seen a full gallery of shots and would love to!

If I could work out how to shrink the file size to the 2MB limit I would post some up but everytime I've tried it hasn't been successful.
The camera I have used is 16M pixels so the shots are very sharp on the computer.

Happy to e-mail you some if you pm me

i'm agreed that green's a bit passé, but, come on, 'fess up, something in your handle suggests you're more of a rosso corsa person !

...and, whilst we're on the subject, why did ferrari name their signature colour after a crappy vauxhall ?

Thanks to Russell I have some resized photos to share. Like I say they are just a few I quickly took myself on a grey day and don't really do it justice. The colour is far brighter and stronger than the images.
Its got to be very similar to Rosso Corsa. Its definitely darker than Rosso Scuderia but not as dark as my Milano Red Honda Civic Type R

That guy took a pic of my car the day before - and tried to charge me £20 for the pleasure of a copy. Good photos though.

I saw the Blue Cepheus SL at Sevenoaks and actually went there with a view to buying that before I ended up with the Performante. Whilst it's a nice colour, it didn't strike me as a wow colour. Looked better in the pictures than it did in the flesh.

Whereas the Mars in the flesh looks stunning. Never thought red would work with a Gaylord. Pictures don't do it justice.

I just wish I could get a picture to capture it correctly and do it justice. I've tried loads of photo's unsuccessfully now but admittedly light conditions haven't been great.

My photo's are usually pretty good but I think I'm going to need a professional on the case with this one for some reason.

When I first enquired about the car I did say to the dealer after looking at his photo's is it a reddy orange or an orangey red they were that bad. He said its full on bright red but it just won't photo that way. Strange ? I think it may also be screen/monitor settings as one of my computers makes the same photo look a lot brighter.

I also like the baby blue photo's evn though its a "soft" colour but I'm not sure I'm brave enough to live with it and the attention it would get
