Ok i seem to be doing lots of umming and ahhing recently.Looking at swapping a 993 for a 997 GTS then got thrown a curve ball!
I also have an LP560-2 50th anniversary sub 10k miles with good options.
I love the car especially the noise on start up and downshift, its immense!

Anyway a friend i do a bit of business with has a Black 991.2GT3 with lift/buckets/roll cage and other bits and bobs in PDK.
He has offered top sell it to me still loads more than list but approx 15k under what similar cars are advertised for at dealers (180k mark)

Only issue is i can't afford to keep the Lambo and have this aswell so it would have to go.

There is no other LP560-2 for sale in the country at the moment as far as i know so this is another factor in what i should do.
Ive always loved to have a motorsport Porsche but the feeling the Gallardo gives is still fabulous.

Normally make an instant decision but this is giving me a headache.

Anyone have any input? (I realise this is subjective but would love other points of view)

Cheers,Craig

^^^ Thanks.Think i knew the answer all along but minds firmly made up now.
Spoke to a dealer who said pretty much the same thing today. He has two .2 GT3's in both with ceramics at just 10k more than i can have the black one for without ceramics.
At 150k it would be relatively free motoring for a year but not at any more than that.
I know i'd end up looking for another Gallardo/Huracan anyway so i'll stay happy with my lot for now.

Cheers all.

Cars are chalk and cheese.

The Gallardo is miles behind the gen 2 GT3 not just from a driving dynamics perspective but in every other area.

Just be aware that if your pals GT3 has steels it would be worth up to £15k less than a pccb car all other things being equal.
I know what your saying but saying its behind in every area is just not true. What about sense of occasion and how the car makes the individual feel when driving it?

To the layman ones just another 911 and ones a car that they had posters on the wall of.

Sardis, i think you've hit the nail on the head. Whilst i'd love a GT3 the reality is would i pay overs to the tune of approx £45k for one and lose the Gallardo? No i wouldn't.
Now that I've given it some serious thought i know i wouldn't be happy knowing that I've paid 45k more than the car lists at.
As others i quite like knowing that my cash is not going to take a nose dive although i expect normal depreciation i do try and limit it with being a limited edition or in the case of the 993 soon to be classic.

I think i'll sit tight and see what happens to 991.1 and .2 values and take a view later on.I'm not that unhappy with what I've currently got just a little familiarity creeping in.
