Someone recently offered me a ticket into space, scheduled for 2020-2022, for ~£140k.

The next few years are going to be interesting for consumer space travel.

VT is very high (2300-3200m) and someone in their 50s who hasn't skied for years may struggle to breathe (low oxygen) and possibly even die from a heart attack.

Wow.

Glad it's not just me that's noticed the tripe he writes. He pops into the football threads but that's just regular trolling.

Much as it pains me, I have to jump in here. Last time I stayed in VT for a week (2 years ago), I really noticed that late at night I couldn't get a complete lungful of air. I'm not ill or unhealthy or a smoker, and I've skied for very many years, but I *am* in my 50s! It was quite disconcerting at first until I told myself to ignore it and go to sleep, but it was a genuine thing.
