I've reported this to the mod's for you, so you might get some attention. Don't forget it is Sunday afternoon though.

Many people on PH can remove a thread, and most who can have been on this site for years and know exactly what we want on the site and (more importantly) what we don't. Many moderators on here are volunteers, and even though I do get paid I still interrupt my own free time to keep things in check, ensuring the forums remain a nice place to be for all of us. We do not go out of our way to remove threads simply to be annoying.

Your topic is a matter between you and a third party, not something for the forum community as a whole . We wish you well with your issue, but it really isn't a matter for the forums (I don't expect you to agree). To post an advert on PH you do not need to have a forum account, so there is a very good chance that your post won't be seen by the relevant person anyway.

Anyway, I hope that clears it up and if a moderator decides to remove a post (and emails you to advise) to them resubmit the same post is probably not the best idea. If you want hago investigate any problems with adverts mail us at adverts@pistonheads.com and we'll take a look.

We take it rather seriously, we have to being such a large site. Our man Russell will contact you soon, as he is at the other end of that email address.

Can I assume you've contacted the police? If so, please let Russell know in your mail as we can assist authorities in more detail (data protection rules can be relaxed more than with the public for investigation purposes). If you haven't, and genuinely think you have been a victim of fraud, please do so as soon as you can.

We have a number of systems in place to help safeguard our users, we're merely asking that you resolve this through the correct channels. That way, your questions will get answered - and dealt with - more efficiently. We don't want our users getting scammed any more than they want to be scammed.

If the advert's still visible on the site click the 'report to administrator' button, this will send it to be moderated - feel free to leave some contact details when you do and someone will be in touch. Or, as Garlick suggested, email adverts@pistonheads.com with all the info you have on the advert and seller.

In the meantime have a look at our fraud warning page ( http://www.pistonheads.com/sales/fraudwarnings.asp) and www.vstag.co.uk, both have up to date information on scams.

To question our commitment seems a bit harsh.

K

I think......................

The OP seems to have purchased some tyres via an ad on PH from a seller in Edinburgh.

The tyres have not arrived though the OP says he has paid.

The OP is trying to see if any other purchasers have received their goods.

The OP thinks it is a PH issue if the seller is not doing his part of the deal.

The OP is trying to warn others with allegations that the seller may not be..................erm honest john
