£9.99 to advertise a £650 Micra? Gumtree it is then.
It's a shame that it's so hard to browse the other cars which are for sale too, I sold and bought my last 3 cars from this site but sadly it just doesn't work.
The (perhaps out-dated) simple interface worked so well for this site too.

Care to expand on why it "just doesn't work"? I'd genuinely be interested in what makes you think this. It's a shame that it's so hard to browse the other cars which are for sale too, I sold and bought my last 3 cars from this site but sadly it just doesn't work.

Just had a quick Google...
PH - £9.99 for 30 days.
Autotrader - £9.99 for 2 weeks.
Gumtree is a slightly different kettle of fish...
Pistonheads - Something which is found using Google or by recommendation of a friend, a website / forum for like-minded car enthusiastsPH - £9.99 for 30 days.
Autotrader - £9.99 for 2 weeks.

Autotrader - Long-standing classified ads magazine, heaps of online, television and radio advertising.
Don't get me wrong - I don't like using Autotrader and have only done so twice. It's a means to an end if a car isn't getting enough interest on Pistonheads / eBay or the likes. It was just nice that it was free to occasionally try and flog your car on a forum that also happened to have classified ads.

It's very slow to navigate is my main gripe. It's slow on both my phone browser and the internet on my pc, neither of which struggle with other websites. The layout also seems overly-complicated, very Autotrader-like.Probably has a lot to do with this being the first time in a while I've actually tried to use the classifieds section, and I'm just not keen on the updates.

"Price: £999
Real price is £9,999!"
PH is significantly cheaper than AT when trying to sell something over £1k.

Thanks. It is possible that unfamiliarity is part of this to start with. Objectively the site is much faster than the old one, although I'd be interested to know what browser you're using. The mobile site is rubbish, and will shortly be switched off in favour of a much better and more carefully thought through site.
Incidentally you're entitled to free ads because of when you joined the forums. Please PM me and I'll see if we can make sure you're using the right account to login.

Objectively when loading that is simply not possibleThe size of the new site (and the lack of optmisation) means that is ~ 5 times the size (in KB)
If you are on on dodgy 3G or GPRS connection it is painful
(the oversized thumbnails aren't helping either)

This is using IE9...
Whereas, this is using Chrome...
Back to IE9 and the same model but sorted by newest first is OK, but page 2 has only one entry on one line, like this..
HTH.
