Hoisted by your own petard there I feel! Wink.

you all still keep searching for quotes to post on here trying to reaffirm you views in the hope of a response, trying to prove a point when there is nothing worthy of proving.
But that's exactly the point. No one is searching for quotes, quite the reverse. His seagull approach of flying in and stting on every thread with his bizarre claims of being best mates with Steve Jobs and dining out with multi millionaires means you can't miss them.

As to 'nothing worthy of proving', do you honestly think that

is a remotely appropriate response to a man clearly suffering a huge amount of angst at the genuine possibility of losing his young children?

To be fair here - it’s probably better than some PH responses in the circumstances......

The irony of you continuing to quote Mr Yipper is not lost on me hehe

He/she only saying in a few words what others have said in many.

Giving away free, taxpayer-subsidized houses to people with ~£60k cash in their bank account is:

a) a serious and wasteful abuse of scarce public money;
b) not a longterm solution to local economic decline.

It is just window-dressing and pretending everything is okay because somewhere has a flower box outside the front door.

A rather overrated car. The Saxo VTS was a much nicer car to drive, in that pocket-rocket segment.

He truly is thick. Not just slightly, but totally thick. I know we should ignore him and that he is probably in need of help but I will admit, I simply can't, such is his level of utter stupidity. He is still hugely entertaining though, in a perverse way. And yes I find him quite fascinating as I genuinely had no idea anyone could be like that. I really feel supremely intelligent by sheer contrast, which is probably why I hope he sticks around and carry on making himself look even more stupid, if that's possible.

It is always on a bad day to look at something Yipper said, it always makes me think "I'll never stoop that low", it's a close contest between him and TooMany2cvs though.

Yes, it is now the new cultural and societal norm to be fat.

There is heavy social pressure (particularly for men) to be big and fat.
No it isn't. And there really really isn't. laugh

He will literally post anything that he believes makes him look clever with (ironically) the exact opposite result. biggrin

Probably not, Yipper just pretends to be intelligent, TooMany2cvs is a condescending prick.

And something which goes against the zeitgeist within this thread, on the snow thread:

Don't forget to put out food for birds, etc. They struggle to find food under the snow. Just fed what looked a pretty hungry robin (stock photo).

Sound advice with good intention, taken onboard by some, myself included. It shows a nice side to someone. Especially to S and I who are huge on the welfare of any animal.

Chaps - there's a justified bit of a laugh at the mad stuff and unsubstantiated "facts" he often posts, but some of the stuff on here is a bit nasty. Why? Is it necessary?

I'd be a bit upset if I read some of the things on here written about me, and I'm no snowflake/shrinking violet type.
