It's not though, the line height is still (pointlessly) larger.

Still not working for me - Chrome version 119.0.6045.66 on a Samsung Z Fold 5, running Android version 13 (plus One UI version 5.1.1, whatever that means confused)

With the phone unfolded (i.e. using the main display), I get this:

...but with the phone closed (i.e. using the narrow front display), I get this:

It's been doing this for ages now, I think since early/mid September. I really wish they'd fix it, the mobile version is astonishingly user-unfriendly and difficult to navigate. No breadcrumb trail makes it more cumbersome to jump from one forum to another, and the lack of clickable page numbers on the list of topics is a nightmare (to get to the last page I have to open the thread and then manually type the last page number into the text box at the top, there isn't even an option to just jump straight to the last page... shocking web design!)

Agreed. Mobile version is very hard to navigate. I'd add, having no idea who the op is once you're scrolling through a thread to the list of annoyances.

iOS 17.0.3, Safari, iPhone 12 Pro. Forum “up” button has moved into the thread title bar. As it seems to be aligned with the text, a long thread title pushes the button off screen and you have to scroll over to find it. Been like this for a few days.

And here. I was really stumped at first and couldn’t find it which was calamitous but now it’s merely a pest.

It turns out I should retract at least some of my previous criticism, having just discovered that the page number is in fact a clickable link - see the number '18' circled in red below:

This at least makes it easier than I previously thought to jump straight to the last page of a thread. Still, I don't understand why you would choose to format a link in exactly the same style as ordinary text... it would make the existence of the link more obvious if the font style was different to the adjacent text (e.g. bold or underlined, or in a different colour).

Am I reporting the wrong thing here? In the current version of Safari, the button to go back a level is shoved off to the right in threads with longer titles. Can we have the button back on the left please like on other browsers?

Fine:

Not fine:

Feels like the weird double spacing thing has been fixed, but I'm back to getting the "my stuff with no formatting" thing...

Yeah, me too on mobile. It most often happens when coming back to the page when the phone's been idle/off for a bit - but it's the only website I have this issue with.

In addition to this, I'm not sure why on desktop I'm served up the tiny mobile-width version of an article when navigating via 'What's New':

but get the proper-sized article from the front page:

The site's a bit of a design/layout disaster, frankly....

Not sure if this has been reported, and it might be a symptom of the above because it only started the last few weeks, but on iPhone 12 Mini I used to be able to use the browser zoom function to make the text bigger and it would always stay within the screen. Now it spreads either side of the edge of the screen so I have to either keep scrolling left and right to see the whole text, or read it in landscape mode which is harder to handle the phone in my hands.
