PH has sped up a bit, but eg. posting this I had about 20 seconds delay between pressing the post button and being able to enter this priceless missive.

I've heard a website called Car Throttle that is supposed to be good.
Have you actually visited it though? Because it really isn't all that hehe

Another new convert to Brave here. What a relief to be rid of all those boring and intrusive ads!

Thanks PH. I've converted to Brave on my phone and PC. The internet without any ads is a revelation!

Cheers!

Have adblocker installed in new iPad but still getting adverts and slow performance. Frustrating!

Goes into safari settings and suddenly realise you have to turn it on.

D’oh!

Pleasant surfing has resumed...

Just downloaded Brave after trying to persevere with Chrome and by fk, it's astonishingly fast.

Gonna download for my phone now.

Thanks for the recommendation.

Just out of interest, what happened to Chrome?

It used to be the 'go to' browser not long ago.

Haha it's like being back in 2011!

I'm sorry but I think we should get medals for being committed enough to download a specific browser to read PH.

It's not just PH.

Brave has transformed browsing on my 2009 Intel core duo laptop..that i am too tight to replace.

Works fine on Brave for me.

On the odd occasion when it does happen though - Brave sometimes thinks that images which are actually quite key, are ads - you could just put Brave's 'shields' down for that site?

I’ve had enough. After 15 years of browsing probably daily, the appalling speed and more importantly lack of action has completely stopped me using the site.

Shame really.

Credit where credit’s due.

One of the staff has been emailing me around details of the issues I had. I don’t know what tweaks they’ve made but site seems pretty much back to normal now.

So thanks Pete for your help. Appreciated.

Thanks to stumbling into this thread, I downloaded Brave and am also very appreciative.

The time saved stopped increasing once I got to an hour. I am now approaching 100,000 blocks.

Does it make sense to clear cookies every so often, or just allow them to keep on accumulating?

Thanks

They're not accumulating in a pile on your phone/PC; just being swatted aside.

After a great start with Brave, it now won’t stay open on my iPad and just crashes.

I think they fixed the site so you can go back to normal browsers.
