I have put a new server in just now, so hopefully that will speed things up for the weekend. Let me know if any problems, or slowness.

is it me, or is the search facility still down, i wanted to see what had been listed in the last 24 hours, but cannot do that, and only option is to manually go through all the cars to decide now

thanks

we are still monitoring the performance of the site with the recent changes, so the advanced search is still unavailable while we do this.

Sorry, something's not quite right.
The technical team have been notified.

Just posted a thread in the ford forum, it appears in "My Topics" but not in the forum, and when clicking on it I get a "nothing to see here" page.

Having managed to skirt around the PH issues over the past few weeks I find myself a victim of the gremlins - did someone feed the hamsters after midnight?

All the current problems are traffic related, so while it is running lovely a lot of the time, it is still struggling during peak time.

Unfortunately a wet bank holiday evening is one of those peak times.

Please bear with us, we are (still) working on it and while things are definately still not right, they should be slowly getting better.

Strange! I had a lot of trouble over the past couple of weeks, but this weekend it's been really good!

It's just yet another Server Split.

Different servers having different versions of the database, so it's pot luck which one you get and hence what the latest post is on it.

To be honest, I'd hoped PH could have sorted this out by now.

Why don't they speak to
http://www.gaiaonline.com/
I'm pretty sure they're bigger than PH and a quick perusal of their site feedback forum suggests they don't seem to suffer from the same problems ph does

According to wikipedia & a news article:
It has over a million posts made daily, over a billion posts total, and over 2.5 million unique users each month

Ah yes, but it isn't running a system cobbled together from old pie wrappers, string, hamsters and gaffer tape.wink

But this needn't either, and according to HM they've upgraded everything and it's just tracing the fault now.

Perhaps a total re-design would be the quickest way rather than fire fighting all the time.
