I 've got grief about a decision on a post ban, but how to put a point across. I judge that i've been the guilty party ,with no leeway to have this decision moderated. But, I allege that. I've been targeted , and found guilty in a hanged court. BUT, how do we contact ADMIN TO offer evidence. Perhaps this situation is against UK legitimisation . Any mod care to give me details of how to put my case , or is PH a site where the loudest shout wins. I wait( without baited breath ) for an answer).

Its a website. They own it, their rules. If they dont want you or your views, there is nothing you can do about that. But be choosing to be here, you are agreeing to abide by their rules. It seems perfectly fair to me

I was banned from a thread, sent a polite email to who I believed to be the mod that banned me. I was unbanned that evening with a warning. smile

Its not the big conspiracy you might like it to be.

You could try writing a post that makes some sense and then posting it in the correct section?

Just a thought.

The post you made regarding cats on our animals forum was reported to us by readers. We didn't like the content of the post, nor the tone, and took the decision that our pet forum probably isn't the best place for that sort of comment. To be frank, I woukdnt want to read it on any of our forums.

Not so long ago we only had a full site ban option, now we can ban individuals from forums instead. This means you still get to use PH despite not having access to one area, much better than a full site ban in my opinion.

As someone has said, we can remove access to anyone without reason and that fact is stated in our terms and conditions, and while we occasionally debate it other times we act immediately. You thought your post was suitable, we did not and acted accordingly. You are entitled to an opinion, but if that opinion offends we have the right to remove it.

I suggest we all move on.

I've noticed the weirdness too
Half a dozen people say a poster is wrong and they're right.
In practice theyre wrong (as shown by what happens in the real world and other posters in the site)
The poster who is right has access privelges removed.
The rest of the people in that section of forum then believe (wrongly) that the half dozen are right and continue to perpetrate the same myth to newcomers.
Over time more people will post their real world experiences but until then some newbies are given duff info.

Does it matter? Do we expect info to be correct? It's only a forum smile

Rule 2 states Post any material likely to provoke, annoy, upset, embarrass or alarm any other person.

Posting that you would willingly want pets to die and would assist this process if you could in a animal and pet forum

Provokation, causing upset and alarm

A response has been given; and I think we should all heed Mr. Gs' suggestion above, before more are banned smile
