Slow data entry from iPad/phone

I've raised this three times in other threads, but obviously it hasn't been seen!
When typing in a thread using Chrome on iPad or iPhone each character takes about two seconds to appear on screen! Also, if using backspace to delete a letter or two, the whole of the recently typed thread is deleted, letter by letter and painfully slowly!
Others have reported the same!
safari works fine!
