Geoff said on Twitter a while back that it was matched against her pink belt. The blue was her jeans.
As mentioned Geoff added the grey later with a spray can. Rock and roll!
The pink belt was in the boot of the car when I tested it.

I never knew it was the only one at that time. I didn't consider it boring, I adored it. Spookily the very first owner lived in Hinckley not far from where I live now. I believe he went on to buy an 881/2 car.

Yes, I do have a register. I have spent over 35 years tracking down the identity and a photo of every single RHD Countach in the world. There are 238, of which I have a confirmed photo and identity of 224 - 14 to go !!
Then please put me out of my misery.

I recall testing a red QV with a pure white interior at Sytner when they had just the one site in Nottingham and dabbled in a few supercars over and above their BMW franchise. I recall the windscreen had a blue top tint and I'm sure a pretty special Alpine set up.

Does this ring any bells?

Yes - I saw the same photos - the car had a big frontal collision and the gearbox was in the cockpit. The owner's girlfriend was killed in the accident and MP was surprised they decided to rebuild it not right it off.

There are quite a few Countachs that had accidents but soon gets forgotten.... including the black/black/red QV that was pranged by its original owner badly enough that he sold it after it was repaired as it was never quite the same again....
Mine?

Relatively few - a blu Acapulco Anniversary supplied new to Ingham (maybe dealer Martin Ingham alt he says not) then to Nair and a red Anniversary new to Julian Smith in Jersey and registered J6268.
It was definitely Martin Ingham as that is where I purchased my car from and he told me he had it!!!

Would that have been sometime around 2000?

Could be the same car I saw at Portman in the 80's which had a bespoke Alpine setup and I believe featured in some of Alpine's advertising. It had an additional trimmed square pod that sat next to the dash with a graphic equaliser and CD player. State of the art stuff at that time!

Hi Adam.

No around 1993 when I purchased mine. Sytner had an old concrete multi story car park they stored them in.

Yes, that rings a bell. What I remember was the blue top tint made the pure white leather a very light shade of blue.

I think.

I may be going mad though.

Hopefully Robert can confirm for sure.

I thought Harry M's car was the Alpine car? He certainly has the extra pod, and I'm sure he's mentioned it being used on the Alpine stand at motor shows.

Just had a look and Harry's appears to have cream trim. I'm sure this was pure white.

There may have been more than one with that setup. Memory also suggests a blue car with blue dash top and a Ferrucio signature above the courtesy light between the seats. I did have pictures of these somewhere once!

Thanks Nick, got my years mixed up, yes would have 1990-1993

I sat in that car at Sytner, it stood out a bit amongst the 3 and 5 series on the showroom floor, and I depressed the cold clutch for research purposes and almost pulled a hammy.

I was a student at Nottingham Poly, Sytner were very accommodating considering I probably looked exactly like the student living off £300/month I was

There were quite a few Alpine Lamborghinis used for advertising. This is absolutely stunning.

Probably - mine was taken 27th Jan 1989
I can't believe they changed the car in the window too often. Must have been hell to get it positioned like that.

Yes he did. He replaced his Black/black/red QV with a black/red skirted QV.

Yes. I’m pretty sure they had the red/white QV which is/was E482NUL for sale, and that has a white interior and has/had a big Alpine set up in it.
