Historics at Brooklands have an interesting Countach project coming up in their 23rd Sept auction.
I wonder how much that would cost to fully restore .. £100k?I suspect that Polo Storico would charge at least double that

I’d be surprised if you get any change out of £250k if you get it done by a recognised expert.

That makes no financial sense at all then. Your figures seem incredible.I suspect that Polo Storico would charge at least double that
I spoke to someone who had their Miura done by Polo Storico. I think it was £650k. The car was absolutely perfect though. He was grinning.

Restorations are done for love, not as an investment?
Yes but some common sense is required!Sat next to a chap at dinner the other night who amongst his collection had 10+ Bugattis - a mixture of old and new.
These sorts of people spend a fortune on restorations.
The couple whose car won at Hampton Court this year had the original French looms that made the cloth for the interior of their 1930s Voisin restored to most accurately reproduce the original cloth. That is an act of love, not investment.

Yes it does but was the chap sat next to you at dinner likely to be a a candidate for a Countach restoration.Sat next to a chap at dinner the other night who amongst his collection had 10+ Bugattis - a mixture of old and new.

MOT history shows the plate registered to a 1973 Porsche 911 interestingly.
Today, Daisy and I are off to make a production. At the request of a youtuber who reached out. I'll get to do some driving and a naughty Fezza Testarossa will be there too for some comparison. Ahhh the old 1980's rivalry ;-)
I'll post details and the vid when it's completed.
Stay tuned!
