Today, Daisy and I are off to make a production. At the request of a youtuber who reached out. I'll get to do some driving and a naughty Fezza Testarossa will be there too for some comparison. Ahhh the old 1980's rivalry ;-)

I'll post details and the vid when it's completed.

Stay tuned!

Do Countach drivers check their insurance these days? The world has gone to hell!

An interesting experience. Not sure if the reviewer will be positive in his review. But at least should be some good footage of the cars.

He is 888mf on the tube of you.

Just looked at the pictures of the two cars above. The Lamborghini wins in the drama stakes for me. I was born in 1967 and it is THE ultimate supercar. The End.

It was said to be complete but it had been moved as one restorer closed down so I would fear small items being mislaid
I was there and it went for much more than I expected

I think the expression is , A tin of worms , Nobody will knows the answer to that question until all the parts have been gone through

and the restoration and reassembling has began ,I doubt if even the vender knows,

I expected it to fetch around £130K /£150K so what do i knowconfused,

I was at the auction to , would have been nice to have met, put a face to a name .

Had my Gallardo there on private treaty sale.

I forgot about that dismantled car , I receive the mini catalogue in advance of Historics auctions and thought the estimate very

optimistic and it then sold for 10s of 1000s more .

I think the large bits were certainly there but the small odds and ends are the ones that tend to get lost. I stress that I don’t know in this case, I am just talking generally. I bought my 308 racer in bits and that was hard enough even though I didn’t need every last bit as it is a racer and a 308 is much more common.
I bid at the lower reserve but that was all.
It would have been nice to say hello. Did your Gallardo sell?

Spend £250k restoring it.
You end up with a perfect car for £500k, which seems about right to me in the current market.

I had a trade bid that was to low, I missed the catalogue close date and they offered the private treaty sale and thought i'd try it

rather than wait till the next sale, god forbid we could be on another lock down by then.

I've now entered it for that sale in November and we will see what happens, Did try to advertise it myself but seemed to get a lot of

debious characters calling at midnight from what appeared to be night clubs judging by the noise in the background making me low ball

offers and wanting to meet in a layby with their briecase full of cash, yikes

I also bought a one owner 308 but a GTS in bits , car was in Maranello's with the engine stripped when the owner or owners

decided to get a divorce both claiming ownership,at that stage Maranello's downed tools in fear of who was going to pay the bill,

Even made the "Daily Express" , The husband won but lost interest i think or she cleaned him out,i don't known as i bought it

direct from Maranello's with the engine in several box's, We put the engine together bit by bit but although i was assured it was complete

i found myself in Thorpe at the parts counter on a weekly basis,

Lucky for me the courts make a decision only one day before i was going on holiday and i managed to buy the car before flying off,

I doubt if it would have been there when i got back Phew !!,

Funny part is leaving from Heathrow the plane flew over Maranello's and as i looked down i had great satisfaction knowing

my GTS was down there somewhere. yes

It is hard to know what the present market value is. There was a 1,000 KM black 5000s at Bentley Newcastle that was 360k though it was LHD
I didn’t see the car but the pictures looked good

Good luck with the Gallardo sale

Nerve racking as if the court had made a judgement while i was away i would have missed it as there was other

people interested, The owners lived in Spain and the car had to be transported to the UK to investigate a noise

in the engine by Maranello's ,meanwhile the couple fell out and divorce proceedings started while the engine was being stripped,

Why it got into the papers i don't know after all it was a 308 not a GTO but i suppose there both made by Ferrari and they need to

fill the space ,The irony of the story is after 2 years getting it just how i wanted it i was forced to sell it to pay for my own divorce rolleyes

My ex kept on saying ,i hope you are polishing my half of the Ferrari, yes

Not a lucky car as the guy i sold it to wrote it off.

Thanks ,i need all the luck i can get with Gallardo as it's been fighting me all the way through my 5 year ownership,

Had a bit of a clear out ,sold my suicide door Fiat 500 and my tribute Coombes MK 2 Jag and if the Lambo goes

will be scratchchinlooking forward to going out shopping .

Yes Jim, more luck than judgement, with only 24 hours before the truck was collecting it to take it to Emblem Sports Cars

i turned the key and it started first time, this was after 6 weeks of having various mechanics , car electricians all eliminating

different parts, still not sure why it started ,the only thing i did different was i depressed the clutch as someone said it will spin

over better, wifes tale maybe but cost nothing to try, then i told my nipper what happened and he said the day before he had

moved a cable over while trying to get a side panel off and he heard a click but thought nothing of it at the time but telling him

that it mysteriously started that could have been the problem ,like a light switch one minute it started every time even after 4/5

mouths and then it didn't. After spending around £15K making a decent car for the next owner , Like your brother i'm going to

take some financial punishment but in my old age i prerfer the 430 to drive and still got the GTB track car for a raw ride , The

Gallardo's more exciting when it's not trying to throw you in the hedge ,likes being driven by the scruff of the neck and sounds

sooooo much better than the Ferrari's but i fancy a change so it can go scratchchin

How you getting on with the 360 and the RS Jim ,
