My old Lambo photos from the 90s
Discussion
I've now also uploaded my own camcorder footage from the 1992 Silverstone Coys Historic festival. Good event this as it was a big Ferrari celebration with some amazing motors including GTOs, LMs, Californias etc.
Also a strong turnout of Lamborghinis.
Enjoy

OK, I have now uploaded my footage from the De Tomaso Drivers Club supecar test day at Goodwood.
Please dont ask why I haven't got any track footage of the Countaches - I'm sure Mike's LP400S1 must have gone on track at some point at least!
Anyway, hope you like it and for many, I hope it brings back some good memories.

Fantastic contributions MaserCoupe and Maurice and for invigorating this thread again.
Hope either of you can confirm a long running debate please?!
There was a pearl white QV with the reg D421 HYP. I am convinced this is different to 18 SEXY, owned by Rob Capp but others think it is the same car. They do look identical but I believe I saw both at a Castle Combe track day, in 87, I think. Also Redliine magazine mentioned two pearl whites in attendance.

Can anyone help shed light?

Hello MaserCoupe -- What lovely photographs, What lovely memories . You are very lucky to have had such 1st hand experience with all these wonderful cars , and thank you for posting on this thread , which will bring these experiences alive for many other people , and also keep it for posterity.
I'm slowly working my way through the recent additions to this thread , but couldn't resist jumping in at this point about your 16.24 post :
''The year before at the same venue they did the same event for a hand over of an 88Spec QV skirted car F920OYR or F924OYR red car rear wing, tan interior possibly red piping like Paths old car which was wingless. Great stuff!!!! Man you really can't out Countach a Countach. I think on both occasions Mike Pullen turned up in his low body car which he still has with the WUGUN reg . ''
I think that the car that you are talking about here is F924OYR.
Your description exactly fits with the pictures of F924OYR in Dron's book (Crowood Press )---924 had a rear wing.
F920OYR (which I am lucky enough to still be the custodian of ) , was delivered wingless.
The first , and only other owner of F920OYR (chassis 12399 ) was a gentleman called Nigel Holland , and he had had either 4 or 5 Countachs prior to 920.He was kind enough to give me the bottle of red Lamborghini that was presented to him on delivery of 920 , and this bottle of now- vinegar remains unopened.
I thought that the Countach rear wings were expensive options , added on at the very last stages of manufacture , but Nigel told me that when speccing 920 in 1987 , the rear wing was a no-cost option (at least to him ) .
He chose not to have the rear wing fitted , purely for the aesthetics .
I'd better get back to reading the rest of the thread , so as not to get left behind the rest of the class
Seems a reasonably good (and shameless) opportunity to post again one my snaps I'm slowly working my way through the recent additions to this thread , but couldn't resist jumping in at this point about your 16.24 post :

Great photos. I’d love to see the others you took at the Syon Park club event.
It’s interesting that in the background of many of my snaps there are countaches that I didn’t take a photo of (e.g. Vic Sawyer’s VFS 141).
I can only assume I didn’t bother because I had seen his car a few times before so focussed on cars that were new to me.
Rolls of film and processing was costly for a teenager back in the day!
Rest of my Syon Park snaps are here

Nothing more exciting that checking emails after a day away and seeing 20+ post notifications!
Wow!!! Some amazing photos being unearthed and posted on here. Not to mention the great stories and histories of the cars. So envious of all your experiences.
Thanks everyone for all your contributions.
Don’t wish to sound greedy but hope there is plenty more to come.

C701 BYX is pretty special to me too.
I remember seeing the magazine at a motorway services back in ‘86 as a 12 year old and for some reason whilst captivated by it I didn’t buy. I went back to the car and kept going on about the magazine - perhaps I baulked at the price, was probably all my pocket money gone - but anyway Mum got fed up with my nattering and told me to go back in the shop and buy it.
It was my first car mag featuring a Countach and still have the mag to this day.
Fast forward to 2007 and I found out the car lived quite local to me. Contacted the guy, told him about the magazine and asked if I could see the car. Two weeks later I found myself driving it!!!!! Amazing moment and one to cherish along with the magazine.
Oh and he didn’t have a copy of the mag so I found one on eBay for him, bought it and gave it to him as a thank you.
Thank you Ian for your kind generosity. Will never be forgotten.

This is a fabulous car, that was originally Frank Bradley's prior to becoming Mike's long termer.. Great low body Car, a stunner!!IMG_0005 by snapper seven, on Flickr
This one is a lot more natural and faithful to the colour.
Another example here.
