Lamborghinis used as Covid-19 shopping trolleys

I assume the green car you mention to be "Kermit the Jarama" who has his own Facebook page! Steve, who owns it now has been very helpful in providing reference information to assist in the restoration of mine.
I deleted the rear mufflers on mine - mostly because the fit of the replacement stainless steel system was that poor I had to remake the majority of it anyway. The resultant sound is er...... distinctive
Indeed they are seriously underrated cars; even in the day the press reviews received were luke warm and I have no idea why. Mine was the car used for the 'Motor' magazine test - some of the negative comments have me scratching my head after driving the same car myself.

Love these but have never seen one on the road, only at shows - this one, and the gorgeous Urraco in front of it had me rooted to the spot, I kept coming back to the club stand throughout the day just to gawp at it....
That's Kermit - Steve has recently redone the whole car and changed the colour in the process. The new colour is probably more in keeping with the original concept for use of the car (everyday use for businessmen). I prefer mine a little more "in yer face". rat rod said:

I wonder where that Espada is now...?
This gorgeous Jarama S is about half an hour's drive from me, it's been for sale for a while and I think the first owner was Clay Regazzoni....

I don't know if anyone noticed but there was a yellow Jarama similar to Andy-IM car on Car and Classic at the beginning of the week, R.H.D ,no bumpers, very sensibly priced at £85k, had a look yesterday to see if it was the same car but it's been removed so either sold or owner changed his/her mind about selling it. done that a few times myself. This gorgeous Jarama S is about half an hour's drive from me, it's been for sale for a while and I think the first owner was Clay Regazzoni....

Luckily nobody hurt.
The Monteverdi "High Speed" was indeed a lovely thing; I bid on one at a Bonhams auction in London maybe 2 or 3 years ago but stopped at about £55K - it was a project car and although had an MoT, I've no idea how!
The Monteverdi High Speed weas actually built on a Jensen Interceptor Chassis, supplied by West Bromwich as a "motorised chassis" for Fissore to body then Monteverdi to finish out. The first bit was kept well under wraps and to this day Monteverdi does not share the numbers built, though anyone with the Richard Calver Jensen chassis book can count them ;-)
Thanks for the kind messages regarding the damage to ELB420J; I plan on getting a new screen on order from Pilkington next week and hopefully it won't be an age for them to manufacture. She'll be back on the road in no time after that's delivered - and this time stays with me - she's clearly made her feelings known about that!

On the theme of 'Classics' used as Covid-19 shopping trolleys within the "Classics and Yesterday's Heros" section:
ELB420J off for a bit of much needed exercise
Andy I am tempted by the Jamara. I was after a Miura for quite a while and got the 1.2 to buy one and get it sorted. Flew to Sweden to look at it. But found that I can't fit in one very easily. I am 6'3" and although I can scouch down, knees go kart style. My head was on the roof, looking thru the sun visor. I didn't want it as art either.ELB420J off for a bit of much needed exercise
So I looked at Espada's but there were alot that were on sale that hadn't been driven regularly and of the two I test drove they smoked, others seemed to be shady in terms of electrical gremlins or other things, one had a shonky wheel bearing and cooked brake when the dealer took it out for a demo.
I bought a 2 year old, 4000km used 2017 V12 Ferrari GT4 Lusso which is the daily shuttle as other than fuel/tires it has 88,000km on it now.
After having this as a daily espresso to take the kids to school in I would also like to get a LHD Jamara at some point. Are there any things you would look for or advise someone getting one?
This video has just been released by Ian Tyrrell and is worth a watch:

If seriously interested I can show you around mine once all this stuff is over just to give you an idea of things - mine is no longer for sale though. Of course ergonomics will be slightly different on a LHD one anyway.

Well here's a little treat to start the day, Colleen demonstrating her reversing skills in the Countach!

By the way, I think the Periscopo is easily the most desirable of the series and looks stunning in this (very 70's) bronze.
So, how does one fill up at a petrol station with that crazy design?
Very late UK registered Pantera GT5S in front of the Countach. 1991, must have been one of the last if that reg is original, though narrow rear tyres and a few other details has me wondering if it's a "recreation" re-registered as a later car.https://youtu.be/M1x-Drw332c

Anyone see the Jarama body shell just put on "Car and Classic" today .priced at £16,950 in the Neverlands. What a opportunity if you have either a badly damaged or rusted wreck. That won't come up again.
It's been for sale in various European media for some time; I approached the guy about a year ago to ask if he had anything else (I was thinking bumpers..... In my long search for those) but he had nothing. I guess a few folks have done similar as there is now a "what you see is what is there" statement. He's a nice guy though and was as helpful as he could be. It does make you wonder what happened to everything else.... I should have asked. rat rod said:

It's from a book I picked up at last year's Bicester Scramble for a fiver, 'Supercars Of The Seventies', as is the colour spread of your car. It's a compilation of road test reports from Motor magazine, other cars featured include the Espada, Urraco, Countach, Bora, Indy, Khamsin, Pantera, Alfa Montreal, Dino 246GT and 308GTB etc.Regards Andy

And another shot of the fourth prototype (the yellow one) at Earls Court in October '71....
Also really enjoying this!Edited by P5BNij on Thursday 9th July 13:45

Out of quite selfish interest, you don't happen to have anything from the 1970 Earls Court stand do you? The only photo I have of my car there is of very poor quality.
Kind regards Andy

I have to agree; the photos of this car and that of the Jarama Bob" kept me inspired through some particularly frustrating times during the restoration of my car. Indeed, it took a lot of strength not to buy a set of reproduction SV wheels to go on mine - though that particular battle has not been won or lost yet!
Regards Andy
This is another one that inspired me; lovely understated "RatRod" look that should definitely NOT be improved! Again, SV wheels really suit the stance of the car.
