Congrats Shrek. Hope you got in before the £5k price increase.
Amazing how many 650s spiders are being bought by members on here nowadays.
Super choice and stunning car, you won't be disappointed especially as Volcano red ones are the fastest ( & fastest selling ).
Enjoy !

Thank you, very excited to pick it up. The 5k price increase was associated with some aftermarket carbon fibre add on that I wasn't interested in and so wasn't included. We looked at the Volcano red one at McLaren Birmingham which sold my wife and I on the colour but it didn't have some of the options we wanted as well as being more expensive. Without the reputation and recommendations Alastair seems to have accumulated in the community we probably wouldn't have had the courage to buy the car unseen (I haven't even driven one :-) )Amazing how many 650s spiders are being bought by members on here nowadays.

Congrats, I've just bought the McLaren Birmingham one, and interesting how people look at things differently, it had all the important options I wanted. But it was the lower age and very small mileage/ longer warranty that sold me on it. I've not seen the colour in real life. But have driven a 650s at Birmingham a few weeks ago, brilliant car, did back to back with a Ferrari and Aston Martin Vantage V12. The McLaren was more impressive by a big margin, interestingly the V12 Vantage was also pretty good.Enjoy, I certainly intend to.

The McLaren Birmingham one is gorgeous, it completely sold us on the colour. We wanted electric seats, my wife for the heating and me for the electric adjustment as I struggle to find standard car seats comfortable. The mileage difference didn't bother me as we intend to use it a fair bit and so it should hopefully represent a fairly inconsequential difference if we come to sell - we already have a Spain tour booked next year. I'm looking forward to experiencing the difference from our V12 Vantage, pretty much opposite ends of the spectrum from a technology point of view but I love that they are both great British cars.Enjoy, I certainly intend to.
Looks like 4 650S that we know of sold this week alone. What's hotter than hot cakes ?
That's a lot of cars in a week in the scale of things.
Looks like the supply and demand equation is only going to continue to go one way especially come spring time next year.
JOKE ALERT - Don't want to be smug or say "I told you so " BUT ............. JOKE ALERT

Yes they are selling because they are just getting cheaper and cheaper....It's easy to pay £165k on an 18 month car that was £240k. That's a lot of cars in a week in the scale of things.

Bah humbug ! Lighten up man and share the xmas spirit. Dream on you won't find a DECENT 2 yr old low mileage spider for £165k. £175 - £180k is the average price - Sensibly priced to sell and admittedly a bargain against List. Just because McLaren don't apply the same Overpricing strategy as Ferrari dealers who are dictated to by the manufacturer
Read my lips Prices are and will continue to firm up and when they are gone they are gone.
Don't miss the boat, you know you want one

More like 4 astute buyers snapping up a bargain.
Far from yesterdays news McLaren is delivering tomorrows news today. Proud to be British and seeing them leading the way in the supercar market
Don't knocking the actual car because it's actually very good, but the brand doesn't have the prestige that it should have, otherwise these wouldn't be "bargains". Never mind Ferrari which has stratospheric residuals, even the Huracan retains more of its list price and its not a patch on the 650s.Far from yesterdays news McLaren is delivering tomorrows news today. Proud to be British and seeing them leading the way in the supercar market
They need to stop with this high volume drive, and "different" car lineup ala Aston Martin......They need to stop diluting the McLaren brand, and keep it super expensive and rare. £126k is a joke. What next - an SUV??
