Sarnie's nailed it there.

What a tedious individual, coming on here & constantly pontificating about perceived values & issues. Bore off & try your best to be happy whilst settling for a lesser car safe in the knowledge your pennies are safer.
I think he's just venting his frustration away from the Porsche forums, frustration because he's not valued enough by Porsche to get an allocation of the GT3 RS scratchchin
Wasn't Juno the bloke who ordered a Performante cos the Performante was the bestest car ever and the Performante was the fastest car ever and the Performante was quickest on all the tracks in the world ever and the Performante was better than all other cars ever and he bombed every thread on here with 5 million posts about the Performante and everything for ever?

Did he get the Performante?
no. that was gary brownlow/rambolambo/grb430f1/etc

Then stop looking at Mclaren. You have been very clear about what the priority of a car is to you - lack of depreciation/appreciation above anything else and fair enough, your money, your choice. Just enjoy your gt3 without needing to constantly take a pop at any of the Mclarens for losing money when other people are prepared to put up with that aspect of ownership.
Porsche GT cars didn't always make money ... and it may not continue to.

A depreciated McLaren is fabulous value if you can run to the warranty and service cost around £5k and just appreciate it for what it is.

Porsche is not in the same league ... so McLaren should cost more ... IMHO !

Juno too. Do you remember Yipper constantly chiming in with him? They had a right little double spamming act going for a while, got very tedious.

Did RL pick his up before he er... moved on?

Great idea, Whitby for fish and chips today. Perfect day for a roof down drive over the North Yorks moors. Life is good.

driving

As promised. Yes I know it’s not a McLaren and yes it is a bit O/T, but I do think it’s worth doing the driving bit of these wonderful cars we have, not seen many McLarens around these parts so far. Happy to catch up with any local ones on here.

Super motor you have there smile

Would be good to catch up with you for a run sometime - South Yorkshire based smile

No...…..don't backtrack.

You said ALL the early cars are at £190k. They aren't...……...two at £194k (I assume you are assuming those vendors are desperate and will sell for £190k)…...one sold at an asking of £200k, the rest above that...…..but the sample is only 8 cars!

JZM car was listed at £200k......you seem to seem assume it sold for less?

You ask what they are spec'd up.....why? Assumedly its to show us all how much money they've lost? Much like all your other McLaren bashing threads.....

You even started this thread...…..to remind us that the 600LT has fell of the radar? Who's radar? Yours or everyone elses?

You've posted on here that you'd be "interested" in a McLaren potentially...………...but then post nothing but negative posts and threads about them.....feels like an ulterior motive.

Are you TP321?

Are you rambolambo?

Honestly Sarnie, why are you so bothered anyway? your crusade as brand ambassador won't help prop up the value of your 570 just like people highlighting how they deprecate like lead balloons and are unreliable won't drive the prices down further....

For balance, over on the lambo forum I was the one informing how they were offering discounts upwards of £20k on the Perf Spyder a few months back - I currently own one so no axe to grind and yes there were a couple of people rubbishing it (which they obviously would after paying full retail) however, it didn't descend into all the bickering and name calling like it does in here.

For clarity they only made 585 Perf Spyders which is pretty low imo, I've just chopped mine for a two week old demo as a refresh and as I also hated the comfort seats as documented on here, I got more than double the figure I quoted above off - no manufacturer is exempt (well maybe Ferrari for now) from how the market has changed Sarnie so I wouldn't get too precious about McLaren.

Again for clarity and as I've also stated a thousand times, yes I think they're amazing cars and yes I will own another one again. It's an open forum and everybody is entitled to there opinion and should be able to do so without getting heckled for it, that be whether they're a current, previous owner or merely observer.

The McLaren forum really is such a weird place to be.

I was lucky enough to have sit in a 600 LT with Senna buckets the other day....absolutely loved the interior. Tight fit for someone just over 6ft etc but that would just add to what is no doubt an intense driving experience. I think the buckets have a lower setting which I am sure helps!

Need to get myself behind the wheel of one properly in the next six months.

Just back from watching some mates sprint racing at Snetterton. There was a stock road car class, with a smattering of BMW M cars etc. No Ferrari in sight, a lone 991 GT3 RS and 3 McLarens, 600LT, 650S & 720S. The McLarens all looked astonishingly quick, other worldly in fact. I left before the final timings were posted, but would be very suprised if anything bar a Norma or the like was faster than the McLarens. Off to browse the 650S classifieds!

Picked mine up Saturday, drive home was my first ever drive of any Mac so was a little apprehensive!

Have to say I'm blown away by the car, the Senna seats are incredibly comfortable, the ride is so compliant, service from Hatfield was brilliant and made the whole experience really special.

I'm fortunate to also have a manual 991 GT3 in the garage so am looking forward to drawing comparisons of the two.

Oh and nothing has broken so far!

Congratulations on the purchase.

Out of curiosity did you order this to spec or did they do you a deal on a stock car?

Many thanks

I spec'd this from new ( I remember the sleepless nights deciding on the colour quite vividly).

Just seen on Apex's Youtube that they did a 6:57 around the ring on a normal tourist day.

That's rapid!

Wow just got back from a few days golf and you boyz have been busy!

I hate to think what it was like for the kid with milky bar glasses and geeky looks in your school,I bet you gave him hell, you must have all been so tough!!!

Mind you it appears that you nerves are easily struck, maybe because there’s truth in what I say!

My topics are so boring that two of them sit in the top few Mclaren posts. There seems to be no shortage of interest,I would have thought if it’s so painful to read then better not read it. Maybe it’s just so compelling you can’t put it down Lol

It’s amazing how you can draw so many conclusions about someone you don’t even know, you think you know what they’ve had and what there getting, really!

It appears that if you don’t like something which is an opinion of someone on a open forum you gang up like school boy bullies, come on that’s pathetic but you already know that!

I can’t help it if you’re sore that you have lost £50-£100k on your new Mac in weeks, you obviously are or wouldn’t spend so much time saying it’s It not a problem!

Well just in case you are a relative of Stevie Wonder,in the broadest slang, this one is close enough to £190k for me!

https://www.pistonheads.com/classifieds/used-cars/...

The reason for asking what they are new was to assess what sort of deal these cars represent!!! Isn’t that what a forum is for? I didn’t price them, the market did.

Also I assume all cars in the main sell at below the sticker price,I would say that is the real World.

Anyway thanks for advising me that I won’t be getting a GT3RS,it was good to hear it from you guys first,at least I don’t have to worry about the dealer giving me the bad news now laugh

I guess, in my opinion of course, I'd rather read about the guys who did the bungie jump and what their experiences than the group of guys peering over the edge too scared to make the jump.
