I Would be interested to know if there is any agreement with my working out of £1 per mile, £10k for LHD and £5k chunks of spec? It seemed to be the case when I was looking to buy 6 months ago and looking at these 4 cars still seems to be? If prices are up around £10k in a year and you drive 5,000 miles per year with £5,000 warranty and service costs then bar the normal running costs of any car, its virtually free motoring!

but they do price realistically,
and are in the business of buying sensibly and turning cars over at a profit.

This one looks quite good value but selling isn't always easy. As with all cars, what they actually sell for is the only important part. In February I advertised my fairly high 12/12 car initially at £119k then dropped it down slightly but actually sold at £99k - this included Mc warranty for eight months and new rear tyres. http://www.pistonheads.com/classifieds/used-cars/m...
Nice spec low mileage 1 owner cars will always command a premium but clearly the trend across a broad sample is at least prices have stabilised if not increased slightly over 18 months ago.
McLaren cars have not seen the meteoreogic increases some of the other brands have but are playing catch up as both brand recognition and demand increases.
If you are looking at s short term purchase I suggest the potential depreciation is less if the market falls but if you are looking at a long term purchase the potential appreciation is greater as these cars are quite rare in the scale of things.
eg 12C numbers are similar to the limited Ferrari 430 Scuderia.
Todays under appreciated car is possibly tomorrows classic and good buy/investment IMHO.
Despite being brought up aspiring and owning several Ferraris I have no specific brand loyalty and buy what I personally think is the best at the time.
All values aside the 12C is a terrific car only bettered and perfected by the 650S

Can remember being offered exact same car 18 months ago. Nice spec but both exterior and interior colour combo put me off even going to see it. Was cheaper than other lesser spec cars at the time and I guess its the same again.I wouldn't say it looks offensive but suggest its not everyones favourite colour. I suppose its always possible to have the chocolate brown leather dyed black or changed by a leather specialist. If it was just seats it would be straight forward but if its door cards, dashboard etc it becomes more difficult

All the 12c have now sold, coupe and spyder.
I think the suggested £1 per mile premium for low mileage cars is a bit steep personally, 50p I would agree with.
Shame really as my 2014 12c has embarrassingly only done 6,000 miles, still looking forward to a £100 or so depreciation either way this weekend.

Plus they will do 300 miles from Calais to the Nurburgring on one tank of petrol. The 675LT is even more frugal by accounts.
