There seems to be a bit of a pattern with this car, they have now increased the price considerably back up to £125k ????
I’ve known the car fail to sell in 3 of the garages it’s been advertised in over the last year and a bit and on two occasions it’s had the price increased????
It didn’t sell a year ago at £125k why on earth would they increase the price back up tomtgis knowing it’s been moved around at least 3 garages and still failed to sell????
I guess the next part of the pattern was for it to be marked sold again only to pop up in another independent.

And now it’s on eBay for 10k less, back down to £115kI’ve known the car fail to sell in 3 of the garages it’s been advertised in over the last year and a bit and on two occasions it’s had the price increased????

5k more than its lowest advertised price of £115k the other month.

Still looks expensive compared to other coupes by some mile!

given there are now 5 720Ss in the 150s, I think that a 650 will have to be at close to 100k as I would have thought that finding an extra 30-40k for the newer model should be possible for most buyers
I think trade bid on that car would be £75k-£80k. 650s not ageing as swell as 12C IMO which does not bode well for future values. 12C really starting to look quite cool 9 years on.IMI A said:

Such a waste of a beautiful car.

That said, these are now Porsche 911 money and either the 911 is overpriced or there is a lack of love out there for the Macca's as the 650S Spider is in a different league performance wise.
I need to read up more on the subject: but I have been told by an ex mclaren 12c mechanic that the car is difficult to work on and more labour hours are required to change various components. Therefore unless there are cheaper solutions to servicing then it's possible the 12c /650 could be eye watering expensive to fix. This alone puts me off and I feel I can speak on this subject as I've run an older ferrari for quite some time and know what bills it can chuck out!

If that was true, wouldn't the servicing be more expensive? I've seen figures quoted of ~£800 - £1,500 depending on what service you need. That certainly doesn't seem worse than a Ferrari?f1ten said:

Have to say that was the complete opposite of what the 4 technicians at McLaren Glasgow workshop told me when i had my 650 spider in for a service 5 weeks ago...to a man the 650 is their favourite McLaren to service / repair due to it being so easy to work on and the lack of any things going wrong with them...No idea of running cost as I’m yet to own a Mclaren, but after having a quick look tonight they have slashed a further 5k off the asking price.

Now its advertised at £110k
The white coupe low milage nice spec 650s coupe looks to of sold after the rrp was dropped to 97k so they look to be moving at the right price.
650s cars are starting to look a lot of car for the money.

I am late to this thread but that 650S Coupe has approx 2,500 miles on it, is around 3 1/2 years old and was what, £219k-ish new and yet, can't be shifted for a £110k loss-from-new? https://www.pistonheads.com/classifieds/used-cars/...

911 Turbo S built same month and year, double the milage £152k new and listed for £127k (OPC Bolton) when really it should up for £80k.
and they say the Turbo S is soul-less, what does that make the 650S? car worlds gone bonkers.

Only reasoning I can see is, the Porsche is significantly cheaper to run on warranty and servicing. 911 Turbo S built same month and year, double the milage £152k new and listed for £127k (OPC Bolton) when really it should up for £80k.

I can't quite get my head round someone picking a 991T over a Mac. Unless it's for the tiny back seats

Peace of mind, warranty, known depreciation rate, and you can get two sets of golf clubs on the rear seat shelf..I can't quite get my head round someone picking a 991T over a Mac. Unless it's for the tiny back seats
