Hi there,

Crap, crap, crap I drove past Mclaren Manchester on Wednesday on my way back to the office. I looked through the window into the rear yard and saw what I thought was an MP4 12 in the back yard, now I know it was the P1.

GUTTED !!!

Regards

Tim

My old boss's lad, Lee Christian is the lucky lad that's closing the door there. I called in a few months ago and he kindly let me sit in a 12C in the showroom and make brmm brmm noises.

I wonder if he's sold any P1's and what his commission is?!

That's a truly lovely colour, thanks for sharing

In ref to Appolo1, then regardless of wealth and ownership, I I do tend to find his posts somewhat belittling to others opinions.
He may be a thoroughly decent chap, but our exposure is limited to what's posted up here, and It would appear that the car collection and wealth does not makes the guy any less of an 'apparent' tool

You posted somewhere a picture of 046 at Le Castellet (on uk plates) and then suggested a car in Geneva was the same one - yet it was on Swiss plates which suggests its another - any comment ?

Don't know where you were led astray on the Geneva car in Graphite Grey, but at the moment I have no idea of that one's chassis number.

More photos of it appear here:

Personally find it quite interesting how small the P1 always looks in pictures. Looking at the car upfront, it actually is a good bit bigger than I initially expected from looking at pictures. It is more or less the same size as the 12c, a touch longer and wider but lower but does seem to come across looking smaller somehow.

One of the tech here worked on development of the P1. Apparently they offered up P1 bodywork to a 12C out of interest & the 12C's oily bits would hang out of the P1 body all over the place, the P1 it tiny
