Expecting 12c prices to go up is IMO wishful thinking by owners and I'm an owner. One would assume (or at least hope) there is a level at which a car of the level of performance that the 12c has will not easily go below but thinking prices will go up from here is not realistic.

And anyway, who cares (except those who cannot afford them, or Ferrari lovers). These cars are already such good value for money.
I am so happy to be driving one on a daily basis and get so much enjoyment from it that I could not care less what the value will be. The smile it puts on my face (and almost everyone who crosses my path) is worth every (past and future) pennies.

We should stop these threads of future values and comparison to 458s. And concentrate on why we like them so much driving

Carpe diem !

I agree hence why I apologised at the start of the thread, my limited knowledge view is that they should not drop much if any below the 100k mark but nice to have others support that view or think the opposite.

Hi Paul, no need to apologise. It is a valid question. I was a bit disapointed that it seemed to attract the usual naysayers.
Just looking at your profile, I can see you are in Kent. Me too smile
Let me know if you are local to me (PM me it is safer...) and we can compare motors and you can see just how much good value these 12C are !

I think the 458 is the best looking Ferrari for a long time and when its replacement comes out it'll be turbo'd so I can see that further stabilising the values of the existing n/a cars.
I think with regard price rises on any marques at this time of year is selective viewing of the market through rose tinted glasses, especially Mclaren or 458. Go into any showroom with cash you'll get a deal on these sort of cars.
IMO anyway.
Beauty is the eye of the beholder and I respect the fact that some people like them.
I used to like the 458 a lot. IMO it has lost a lot of its charm because it was a brave design exercise and the lines now look messy and the back end is too heavy. But, again that is my view and I am happy to be the only one to share it smile
And it is a McLaren forum wink
I agree with this. Right from the start I said the more cutting edge design of the 458 would make it a car very much of its time and that the design would not age well. Too me it’s a bit like a more modern Testarosa, very firmly planted in its time zone.

The Mac on the other hand, less radical yes, will I think age a lot better over the coming years. Plus the fact that people seem to put more miles on them could make them a much better buy in the future. The dealer’s fears of high mileage Ferrari's does not seem to be going away which is always going to restrict how much people use them.

I really don't see that they're that different both good looking cars. The Ferrari marque has always been cherished which makes some owners a bit precious about using them which is a shame. I no longer own a 458 and I've driven the 12c the new Huracan and now own an Aventador, my opinion for what its worth and that's not a lot I know is the 458 is still the best car of its type on sale today, although I wouldn't feel hard done too owning any of them.
