Does anyone know the history of this car?
It's appeared on registrations; BFZ1, S9 GDJ and currently MX61 OHO

It was at Lamborghini Edinburgh for a time. I saw it once in Aberdeen. Again, a very early car.

Paul,

have you tried to speak with Alastair Bols ( http://www.alastairbols.com).
He helped me a lot when I was looking for mine.

Have you looked at the Supernove Silver on sale at Birmingham - low mileage 2011 car ? What year, colour and spec are you looking for ?

PS: I just did 400 miles in 2 days and got my IRIS 2 fitted. A major improvement on IRIS 1 !! What a fantastic car on long journeys. (just trying to help you make the jump smile)

Hi cc8s,

The contact details for the guys at McLaren Glasgow will be most useful.

Thanks.

Hi mb1,

I have already had Alistair Bols recommended and have contacted him regarding what I'm looking for.

I looked at the Rybrook Supernova Silver car on the day that it arrived, and whilst a nice car, it's not quite what I'm after.

You don't need to convince me to make the jump. Having driven these amazing cars three times now, I'm sold!
My budget limits me to 2011/2012 cars, open to colour choice, and ideally with sport exhaust, stealth lightweight wheels and as much carbon fibre as possible.

That's the kind of spec. I'm looking for, shame it's l/h drive. I wonder how much it will go for?
As you say, it would be an epic drive back home - what a road trip!

I'm going to look at another one tomorrow which I'm hoping will be the 'one' - update to follow.

Today I went back to look at the car I first posted about at the beginning of this thread and ............... ended up buying it.
It's a 2011 Ice Silver car from Tom Hartley, who were again an absolute pleasure to deal with (they sold me my sls)

Many thanks to everyone that has provided information on the cars I was enquiring about.

The car that I've bought has been upgraded to P13 specification but still has the original Iris - I was under the impression that Iris 2 was part of the P13 upgrade?
Hartley's has offered to go halves with me on Iris 2 (Rybrook quoted £2640inc which will be going up to roughly £8k on Jan 1 2015)
To the owners that have Iris 2 fitted - has it resolved all the reliability issues that were present in the original and does the audio and navigation now all work?

Finally, does anyone know of any good deals going on the sports exhaust? Do you have to fit the MSO one or are there any good third party offerings?

TIA

Well done ! Congratulation. When are picking it up ? I got close to buying it a couple of months ago. Pass my regards on to Karl.

IRIS 2 will solve all the major issues: system freeze, slow, awful blend of music and directions, stopping navigation with no warning.... However, IRIS 2 is still not the best system ever made and I would have liked a better way of switching back and forth between media and navigation. The voice regonition works very well, which is unusual and i use it a lot now.

Exhaust. Thinking of resale value, i would go for the MSO.

Hi Michael,

It's the second time I've bought a car from Carl and he's a great guy to deal with.
May I ask what stopped you from buying it?
I'm in no rush so will probably pick it up around Christmas time (the car wont be used over Winter). It's awaiting some minor cosmetic work and the upgrade to Iris 2.
