600LT or 675LT

So, who thinks the 600LT might be faster around a track than the 675LT? Active aero or not, there has been a few years of progress from McLaren which is in the 600LT. We know the sports series is as fast in a straight line (some say faster, some not, averages out). I think it will.
very possibleThe sports series can be slightly faster at drag races due to the reduced drag, i.e. less aero.
Can't see it beating a 675LT around a track but then if it did that would be a big coup for McLaren to show progress on the car. If it can beat a 675LT around a track, it's not going to be too far off a Pista is it?

The more significant improvements will come from the tyres, the new 600LT spec Trofeo R tyre being much more racy than the 2015 Trofeo R rubber originally fitted to the 675LT. Put both on the same tyres and the 675's extra grunt would be the deciding factor.Targarama said:

I was going to question whether McLaren would allow such a thing but as the 675 is no longer in production it’s a distinct possibility.gunner said:
Can I please ask what bought you to that conclusion? I have the same dilemma...
I did 19k miles in my 650, loved it but felt the front end was a bit vague and it needed a bit more character.Text drove 570s and GT, 720S and a couple of 675s. The trick suspension of the super series really does make a difference for me. 720 is mental quick but just not as involving. Much prefer the styling of the 675, though the sport series interior is nice 👍
I think the 675 will hold value better than the 600.

The 720 left me cold as well Mikey and that was after 3000 miles.Text drove 570s and GT, 720S and a couple of 675s. Bought a 570 Spider without a test drive and thinking it will be more fun, I'm hoping it's a little less sophisticated and just a bit more chuckable.
A 675 I would love but I like long trips and need to be comfortable these days!

Would you guys say that was just your experience of the 720, and not the Super Series as a whole? Is the 12c or 650 a bit more engaging to drive than the 720?

In my opinion - yes, the P11s are all better in terms of driver involvement. The 720 though is a totally different order of speed.Would you guys say that was just your experience of the 720, and not the Super Series as a whole? Is the 12c or 650 a bit more engaging to drive than the 720?

No I've driven sport series as much as 720, I much prefer the suspension on the super series. It means you can have a great car that copes with the crap B roads in the UK and back roads of Europe.Would you guys say that was just your experience of the 720, and not the Super Series as a whole? I like the Sport series interior but much prefer the 675 exterior
