With thanks to all who posted on this. I acquired a 675 LT (pic below) from Carl Hartley. Only a few drives in but loving it. Really grateful to peeps for views. Happy motoring everyone.
Love that.

Been discussed a lot by current owners as it is the lowest LT around and has failed to sell for months.
Consensus seems to be
1) wrong seats (issue common to many of the others remaining unsold)
2) some of the carbon fibre has been painted and what hasn't has been glossed
3) very low on spec
4) the yellow calipers don't work

A lot of that could be changed easy enough, the colour is superb in the sun cool

Disagree on the seats. If you are going to be using the 675LT mostly on the road and for long road trips, the "comfort buckets" are much preferred. I don't think my back would have survived 1400 miles in two days (see karenable.com for the article) in the racing buckets.

But those aren't 'comfort buckets' in the orange car, just the standard sports seat. I assume you mean 'comfort bucket' as the touring bucket option which is a bit wider than the normal bucket seat that is.

Each to their own
I did 2500 miles round France in my 675 with the narrower race seats, extremely comfortable
During my 6 month search for an LTS I was regularly advised by brokers and dealers the "racing" seats where a must have to hold value
If you look many of the LTs that are hanging around have the sports seats fitted to 12C and 650.

Agree on each to their own.
I've only done 500 miles in the LT (with carbon bucket 'racing' seats - you can see from my photo above).
The racing seats are not like Lambo or Fezza racing seats. They are much more comfortable yet still hold you in place.
The 'normal' seats in the 'volcano orange'? example at Romans International are leather and electric and wide with little bolstering.
I've seen that car (but not driven it). It's a nice car and the colour really pops in the sun. It lacks a lot of exterior carbon and the seats must put people off. It's a lot of car for the money (oh, and a lot of money too. I'm not being flippant).
The difference is that you sit 'on' the normal seats and 'in' the buckets.
Given the character / intent of the LT, for me the buckets would be the only way to go, but when I first started looking for one I didn't want the buckets as I thought not comfortable. My experience is that the buckets are superb: both comfortable and holding.

Exactly what all the dealers and brokers said to me during my 6 month search.
I ended up buying one and having the seats swapped to the race seats.
(BTW the Romans one has all the CF the others do, the guy specing it just decided to paint some of it frown )

Can't disagree with your personal preference of course. I prefer the contrast below on mine:

Ps I know I'm going slightly off topic, sorry Mr Moderators I'm not a super-user of this great forum, BUT does anyone know why Mr Jay Kay (total legend) is selling so many of his cars? I just saw the video of his collection that is up for sale (it's on YouTube Harry's Garage). I wonder what he is making room for, or perhaps he just had way too many and this amounts to a spring clean of the collection! I guess this is tangential to original thread as he is selling a 675LT on it - good luck to the person above who is going to bid on it.

On your it looks good imo, congrats on the car - would really love to own one of these

I do especially dislike it on bright colours and when it is larger parts that look like left unpainted - e.g. the carbon sills on some Ferraris (430 and 599). The bonnet and roof on the new 991 RS models, esp if the car is bright green or similar. And not a fan of bright coloured 6xx series McLs with carbon side pods, same goes for the carbon on the doors of the 5xx cars. While on the P1 it looks better imo, even if I’d still prefer it painted.

As you pointed out all personal preference though

Happy to stand corrected but 99.9% certain the car in question hasn't had any carbon parts painted over, they were just never specced in the first place hence side blades, mirrors etc just remain body coloured.

Hard to see why an LT owner would spec external carbon parts at significant personal expense only to paint over them. I've seen some mad car behaviour in my time but that would truly cap the lot!

I thought it was that you can have them painted or in bare carbon - part is the same for stuff like the side pod (and limely/possibly others)

It depends on the part I think. Mclaren are very good at charging for visible carbon fibre. For example the carbon fibre wings with front fenders on the 675 iirc were a grand or so less if painted compared to visible cf and the same for the front bonnet.
